Something occurred to me today while thinking about this motor. I am seriously planning to wait until a good enduro bike comes with it and get that bike. The Kenevo sl with the dji motor would be unbelievable. What occurred to me was I was I really don’t care about the weight all I want...
In terms of full fat vs SL where does this fit @Rob Rides EMTB . The peak specs obviously are high but it’s hard to figure out if it’s on the same level as the bosh etc
I believe in Rob’s video he shows changing the assist level with the button below the screen so should be able to go without handlebar controls. Also full fat bikes are where the bulk of the market is at so makes the most sense to start there in my opinion
In the video with Rob he says 850 with boost up to 1000. 🤷♂️ guess time will tell. Regardless, to be in the same class as the Levo SL and ExE and have significantly better motor and battery is very cool
Yeah fair shout.
Here is the text from their website
> 3. 105 N·m is the sustainable torque output of the DJI Avinox Drive Unit. The DJI Avinox Drive Unit has a rated power of 250 W. So maybe half the sustained output of a Levo. Interestingly I suppose if it has a really good trail mode you...
Im pretty sure I think this about every new bike/engine that comes out but I honestly think this might be a game changer. Basically a full power Trek ExE. Thats amazing. In Robs video they said it will be in other bikes so there is hope for us. Imagine the Kenevo SL but with this motor.
About 1 year in for me and 70% turbo usage. 1000% I’m fitter than I would be otherwise. I get out more and enjoy my rides more which makes me want to get out more. Absolutely smashed at the end of every ride which is always 30km + of pure grade 5 fun
Are you close to a Torpedo 7 store? I believe they will let you hire a Trek exe for the day to try. That’s the bike you want if you want light. Personally I would avoid the old Levo SL at all costs given the trek and others are better in every way. The new one might be different though
I’m 99% turbo for my rides which are almost exclusively DH trails with forestry road returns to the top. I have 0 interest In “earning” my decents. Full speed full time
I own the Kenevo and it’s absolutely fantastic. There is literally no downside to having more travel especially when you are talking about 160 vs 180 or whatever.
