Thanks Beaker, yep definitely different I have a thing for coil shocks just like how they ride, mines a small frame as well.
Here’s the link I used for some stuff Bosch 2020 Dealer Manual - EMTB Forums
It’s not for our bikes year but a lot of the Bosch stuff wiring etc is virtually the same...
I’m in Australia so have the rear brake on the left as well, you can cross the cables in the frame close to the battery lock mechanism. I put a piece of thin foam sheet underneath them so they can’t move around. Yeah there is no hose mount on the seatstay I ran mine over the speed sensor cable...
It was a pain to route the rear brake hose with the motor in when I tried it, I ended up removing the first two bolts so it could swing down and I could check that the hose wasn’t going in kinked. You have to get all the cabling right otherwise it’s absolutely shitful to get the plastic guards...
You can get Cube ebike frames from here HYBRID | SchlierseerBikeparts | Hausham
I built up a Stereo Hybrid 140 TM I got from there originally was going to modify it to accept the Bosch gen 4 motor as part of my product design course but wasn’t able to get hold of the motor at the time. Ended up...
Another one to look at is Paradox Kinetics it’s a kit as well, it’s a bit on the spendy side though. I was going to get one for my GT Sanction at one time, I’m a bit on the small side though and they were only doing the heavy battery backpack at the time. Carrying 3kg on my back would be a bit...
Can’t say about the gen 4, I bought a new gen 2 off eBay though and it works fine, ie showing correct speed etc. Haven’t even upgraded the software for it yet at the LBS, I had to get parts from all over the world to build the bike up.
Probably the same as Bosch saying the motors aren’t...
Thanks for the look up of the gen 4 EdTy, I hope to go back to it at some point. Just haven’t got the time to mess around with mounting plates and sorting out the crank chain line at the moment. I picked the frame up by itself from Germany last year it’s rear end was going to be modified as...
I was hoping to do it, was studying product design and I still couldn’t get hold of the gen 4 motor by itself.Tried for over a year, Bosch their distributors or any LBS that stock them will not sell you one. It’s only available as a replacement (gen 4 for gen 4) the only way you will get one is...
Hi, I’m in Perth. Slowly getting back into riding had some heart problems so had to take a break, which sucked. Raced BMX when I was younger. Instead of buying a complete Eeb, i’ve been building one up to keep me busy. Bought a frame from overseas and are currently paint stripping it as I wasn’t...
I’m 5”3 and prefer 26 inch wheels, I wish they were still widely available. I like my analog GT it’s a small but the 27.5 wheels just feel too big. I raced in 24 BMX cruiser class when I was younger and it didn’t feel like a too big of a jump to go to 26. Currently building up a small frame Cube...
The bike industry just likes to swap between the two, my 97 Giant has Presta, 2003 Avanti had Schrader, 2019 GT has Presta. My race BMX’s over that time period were also a mix. If I’m the only one working on all our families bikes different eras as well Presta is fine. If they work on them...
Yep it sucks in Australia, I’m at the other end of the scale mostly need an XS frame can sometimes ride a S. All the shops in Perth only have M & L bikes to test.
