Interesting Bones, thanks for the response. You don't know when the warranty plan changed do you out of interest? It will be interesting to see what Bosch do as i am only just (6 weeks) out of warranty. I wonder, if i do get a new motor what warranty, if any it will come with. Not that i want...
Hi guys. I've have had a Trek Rail 9.8 for just over two years now, which I flipping love. I am currently on my third motor and this is now starting to play up. I have taken the bike into the LBS where I purchased it from to process the fault/warranty claim with Bosch. However, I have been...

I have been looking into this also as i am not happy with the performance of my Lyrink (even after upgrading the air spring), but was hesitant as you can not go back to air once converted. I spoke to the guys and girls at TFTunned who informed me that you can swap over which stanchion the coil...
Hi all, So near the end of my ride today I watched the remaining battery percentage on the Kiox display go from 22% down to 12% as I peddled , all normal. Set off again with 2/3 miles to get back to base then all of a sudden the motor stoped all assistance. No error codes came up, however the...
I am not sure how the bolt snapped !!! I only noticed it was sheared off when i dropped the motor out to try and sort the gear cable outer out.. I found it a lot easier dropping the motor, and top and bottom battery brackets out to feed the new outer through plus it allowed me to sort out all...
My carbon rail has four plastic clips that originally held all the cables and leads in place in the bottom of the battery bay. I have moved two of these to the upper part of the battery bay to hold the rerouted cable in place.
I am currently waiting for a replacement motor to arrive ( i...
Yep I have switched them to run through the top of the battery bay and over the upper and lower battery mounts as well as uncross the rear brake and gear line when they come through to the rear swing arm. Allready noticing a improvement on how responsive the rear mech shifts now....
I Have separated this question to hopefully get some increased responses.
I would be Interested to know how from other rail owners have the cable/leads running through the top of the battery bay and how many run through the bottom, is it a carbon/ALi frame material difference for some reason...
Yep mine through the bottom of the battery bay the opposite to diagram on the thread at the top of the Trek section. I would be Interested to know how many rails have cable running through the top of the battery bay and how many run through the bottom, is it a carbon/ALi frame material...
Hi everyone, whilst in the process of swapping my controller from Purion over to Kiox and removing the motor to feed in the new cables in. I have noticed that the rear mech cable and the rear brake hose have to do quite some bending over the top of the motor after going under the lower battery...
Are there any emtb riders in or around the Wallingford area that fancy meeting up and for a covid compliant off road spin at some point now or in the future?
Hi Stormy 107
I see from an old thread that you use a Inno roof mounted bike rack. Can you tell the make and model and size of your emtb as i want to get the same roof bike rack but my Trek Rail wheel base is 2cm longer than recommend length capacity on there site so just trying to get a gauge...
it’s brilliant in my opinion. Yes the motor is slightly noisier than the Levo’s and it is fairly torque’y when it comes in but I like that. I chose a 9.8 over a levo expert, plus I got great discount on it,
Yes I am very similar size wise to you and brought a medium. Having gone through the whole process, if I was you I would definitely try to find on to ride. Having said that, size wise you are a medium.
I had a quick search and could not find much.
Do uk riders insure your bikes separately (from house insurance) if so which companies have you used?
Thanks Tom
