    First Service... More Power

All good mate, there's a lot to learn which the bike shops never tell you! Did they mention anything to you about gear changing?

    First Service... More Power

If you're on the right screen it will show your power and the motor. https://www.bicicletas-electricas-granada.es/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/csm_bosch_ebike_ibd_2021_5679_ES_2799675be1-2-1536x878.jpg In emtb mode the display will be purple. The darker purple line will be the motor power and...

    First Service... More Power

Yes the power index shows both inputs, rider and motor. If you're only seeing one colour that will be your input. You generally don't need to take it to a dealer for updates but there are a couple of things they might need to do. One of which if you fit lights that work off the e-bike battery...

    First Service... More Power

Yes, the dealer software has more options than the phone software but one thing they can't do is change your assistance past the 15.5mph cut off. Are you sure it's not just registering your power at 20mph? The dealer software is region locked, so cannot set your bike as being in the US and...

    First Service... More Power

Are you in the UK/Europe? We're limited to 15.5mph assist so anything above that is a bonus!

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

MTB monster seem very good, I didn't end up buying from them in the end as there was delays in stock arriving (covid times) but having visited in person and speaking to them on the phone I only have good things to say about them.

Do you go through a lot if rear tires?

Too much rear bias braking? I did this a lot on the steep stuff, worried about front wheel wash out so would mainly use the rear brake and drag the tyre down the trail 😂

same motor same battery different range

More weight = more energy required to move it. You need to be in maximum efficency with your gearing. Making sure you use the larger gears more and keep the cadence around 80rpm, don't allow the motor to assist you as much because you're not using the most suitable gear for the speed/slope.

Lots of Rough miles and Hands "aching"

Honestly I think you've answered your own question, the handlebars are too far away so getting ones that can be upswept and angled towards you can help reduce the strain .

    Drivetrain cleaning

After degreasing the chain I blast it clean with an aerosol electrical cleaning solvent, seems to remove the degreaser and leave the chain dry ready for lubing. It helps that I get this stuff free from work😂 Just need to remember to leave the garage door open when doing it, made myself light...

EMTB for £3000? Narrowed down to 3 options. Marin, Cube or Orbea.

Absolutely nothing except the paint colours. Makes the 23 models and absolute no brainer if you can find one on discount. Yes they're carbon with an aluminium rear triangle.

Cube all day. The SLX model was discounted recently to around that price, if you can still find one snap it up asap!

Bosch Flow App - News & Updates

Auto is my regular go to mode, it's absolutely ideal for trails and steep climbing. Ramps up the power when you need it and then nicely backs off. I find it much better than emtb.

Scott Patron 900 Bosch motor rattle

So that's not normal. There's a rattle when descending downhill without pedalling, but if it develops a rattle then something isn't right. Check your motor mount bolts, battery tray, the lock ring on the chainring. Is it a fox shock by any chance on the bike?

Review SicoMTB - perfect rear mudguard!

It's too short, the mud just hits the seatpost and seat and drops down onto the linkage it's supposed to be protecting.

    Cube HPC SLX 750

Honestly it's a great bike at a really competitive price for the components it comes with. If you can buy locally so that any issues can be sorted under warranty easily. Bosch motor seems to be the best of the bunch in terms of reliability and serviceability plus I really like how they deliver...
