I just went through this process and I decided on full fat. My final decision was based off of the fact that I intend to keep my “acoustic” bike which is a 130mm travel on both ends and fairly lightweight. I figured I would get something that was a completely different experience than the...
Installed the fox 36 and it really balanced out the front and back of the bike. This bike is amazing!
Headset cable routing I could do without 🤣. It took me about an extra 20 minutes screwing around with the headset spacers etc. getting the fork installed. The good part is now I understand...
Fox 36 just installed. The bike came with a Rockshox 35 tk,(horrible fork but I knew this before I bought the bike). I ended up finding the 36 at a great price and pulled the trigger. I’m really pleased with performance of the 36.
I got a good ride in on the DB8’s today. Right at 3000 feet/914.4 meters of climbing/descending with multiple hits in the mid 20 mph/32.18 kph range and a top speed of 28 mph/45 kph. The brakes honestly did really well. No noticeable fade and I feel like they modulate decently well and...
I have the DB8’s on a new Orbea Wild and so far they are good. They aren’t very refined looking but I don’t much care about that. They don’t have the same power as shimano XT’s which is the only thing I have to compare them to, but they are better than I expected.
I’ve only put 25 miles on...
First ride on the wild today and I was not disappointed. The only other e-bike I’ve ever ridden is a Rocky Mountain Instinct power play but I have been riding mtb since the late 80’s. This bike is amazingly fun! I don’t feel like it gives anything up to the Rocky on power and I prefer how it...
That’s a sweet ride, looks dialed in. Best path as discussed is getting in the attack position on the downs and be mobile with enough weight over the front.
I’ve never tried going down steep stuff seated but maybe try running less than the usual sag up front? Just spitballing here as that...
Hey all,
New to the e bike world and I could use some advice. Will a standard non e bike version of the DT-350 hold up on an e bike? I’ve had great luck with DT hubs for over a decade, however I’m skinny and left to my own devices I’m not putting out significant power. I’m not used to tearing...
Thanks for the info. I’m not all that concerned on the appearance of it but I appreciate you passing the info along. I can appreciate your comment about adding weight to improve performance. Sometimes that’s very worth it. I figured I would check and see if anyone has run a 36 on the bike...
Hey all new to the forum. I have a wild showing up tomorrow in the m-20 configuration. I’m ditching the sector fork immediately. Does anyone have experience running a fox 36 on this bike. I am a lightweight at 155 lbs, or 70 kilo’s. I have found a good deal on a 36 and it would save some...
