I have kept mt Zerode Taniwha and still love riding it but most of my rides I use the Moterra because it's more fun and I get more downhilling done per ride
Another one here with mt7s on my Moterra and saints on my acoustic Zerode. I used to be a Saints fan Boi until I got the Maguras but they win hands down. Power is about the same but bite consistency is the big winner here. Two years with them now and have required very little maintenance. Fit...
I have Saints on my acoustic and mt7s on my ebike. They are both great brake systems but my personal favourite is the MT7s. Their consistency and slightly better power and modulation are what wins it for me
Been very happy with my Moterra. The new LT looks like it could tick a lot of boxes. I have been spending a bit more time on my acoustic zerode taniwha and it has convinced me not to bother getting any new ebike until they come with a gearbox
Well I took my Taniwha out for a serious play pretty much for the first time since I went electric on a Canondale Moterra 1 almost 2 years ago so here are my findings
1: surprisingly it was a whole lot more fun than I thought it would be
2: my fitness and leg strength was fine. In fact my Garmin...
I have been following that thread even though my mullet is a Cannondale. I have already forgotten what the 29 felt like haha. Just the memory of how much more in control the mullet felt the first few rides. Definitely corners better but probably doesn't role over the chatter as well
Yes with my 27.5 set on the smallest diameter available on kiosk the limiter would start kicking
In at 28 kph according to Garmin and also mates on their levos
Bosch NZ refuse to supply software to allow the change of circumference with a mullet supposedly because you could then put a 29 back on and cheat the speed cutoff. It's a pita really and the only way around it is to derestrict which is an added cost and also a pita however the improvement with...
Welcome aboard fellow kiwi. Fyi I mulleted my moterra about 500ks ago. Best move ever apart from bosch software not allowing the wheel circumference to be set. However once overcoming that hiccup its been a revelation. Those cracked reigns are a bit of a concern though
Really loving my Moterra 1 set up with mullet so rather than a new bike I am considering a 180 fork and 170 rear coil upgrade if I can work out which rear linkage to use. I would love a 750 battery but hopefully someone will come up with a water bottle cage adapter for the Bosch. The new LT...
Yes @Elsketcho I am already notiticing that with a 160 fork and a mullet. My fork is a 160 fox 36 factory e optimized and it works pretty well. I don't know that I am quite so happy with the dpx2 in the rear as it seems to hang up a bit when the going gets too chunky. Was thinking a coil would...
Hi guys
Just to let you know I went with a speedbox to overcome the issues I was having with the mullet. No issues at all after aprox 500ks. Now there was a report I once saw about a guy who had fitted a link off another Cannodale bike that allowed him to fit a 170 shock. Does anyone know...
Why would you think it doesn't warrant discussion? Are you of the belief that you should never be allowed to modify your bike in any way for fear of warranty being rescinded. If that is the case then you have no real need to comment
Have a good day sir. I am off riding now will check in later
Been down this route. The allowable circumference when taken to its smallest allowable wheelsize still has an almost 3 kph difference to actual as measured in comparison with other bikes and my Garmin gps
Hi. Oh i get that. Cannondale has come back to me and have now explained how it is and why it is that they wont alow the software change. I can sort of understand their need to be seen to be proactive in stopping people from ilkegally modifying beyond a countries legal limit. Although in my...
