I hear ya. I'll pass the feedback along!
Keep in mind that the motor manufacturers typically dictate that, but we can whisper suggestions in their ears.
Hey everyone, our eMTB team is looking for your helpful input here - specifically you, the rad people in this thread who love their e-bikes (or hate them, no judgment here). The feedback you provide helps us to continue to develop new products and focus on what the community wants - we try to...
We work directly with Bosch to handle claims. They run through us but ultimately are processed by Bosch for the end result. If a shop let its customer keep the original motor after a replacement, that would be something they'd be requesting for themselves since they are likely taken back to be...
This isn't needed for all Rail models, but if the battery isn't being aligned properly or can't be aligned properly, this would be good to add. But models were updated with this mid-production, so some may already have it.
It was just a suggestion. However, even fully opened I couldn't make the spring pop out - this is on a 2021 Rail 9.8. Don't open it further than needed and it should be set in place and the tail of the spring will hold the frame of the charging port.
I looked into this on a Rail I have access to. I popped the cover off and the way the spring gets stuck open is from opening the flap all the way. If you are just opening it up 3/4 of the way to fit the plug, the spring shouldn't pop through between the face and the door.
Hey Richie, I have bad news. I'm chatting with our internal Bosch expert to see if we can find part specs for those fasteners. Unfortunately, Bosch has that information under wraps and these are not even listed as a serviceable part for the plates/fasteners*. They supply them already installed...
It would be updated from what came stock on your model. If you don't have any rattle or trouble with the alignment, there would be no need to replace it.
A small amount of play is normal in most posts. But should it worsen, there are replacement parts to tighten it up. I'd check to make sure your post is a Bontrager post or a TransX post though - the Bontrager posts we make are well above the TransX from personal experience.
What you quoted was correct! Also viewed on our website HERE under Subsequent Ownership. This update to our warranty started in 2019 and covers all 2020 and newer models purchased after August 1st, 2019.
The Subsequent Ownership warranty covers the non-original owner against any manufacturing...
If anyone has Qs on this, please message me directly. All parts are available through your LBS and it is recommended for them to install it if necessary. Not all models will need this and many should see this alignment plate already installed as a rolling change.
Cheers!
Hey there, just following along with the troubleshooting steps you've taken here. The click you heard would be the motor receiving power, however, if the display is not starting, there is an underlying issue that you'd want to address at your local retailer.
My thoughts are that the display is...
