I don’t begrudge pay for a service from my LBS either.(my software upgrade on my Focus was free?)But if the jobs booked in you wouldn’t have to take the tech off another job?. If it only takes 5 mins. It’s still £480 an hour whichever way you look at it. No doubt Bosch will be subsiding the...
Some good alternatives on Englebert Strauss web site. I’ve bought waterproof shoes & shorts from here, the quality is brilliant, half sizes in shoes available & exchanges quick & easy. I have no connection or interest in the company, but think there clothes are great quality without being over...
I made my own out of some old industrial racking. I manufactured the front & rear support brackets, the front 1 has a tube the same width as the wheel hub & I use the spindle to secure it. The rear 1 supports each side of the triangle. It all clips together/unclips in less than a minute for...
I bought a pair of these from Germany work PPE supplier Englebert Strauss. Not biker wear, but great quality, the waterproofing is fantastic even in Scotland?. You do get slight ingress around the ankle,(Boots available as well to alleviate this) but the foot area is always dry after a good...
I have a 2020 Jam 6.8 nine. Been really impressed with it. The weakness for me is the rear suspension. Not sure if it’s the shock, or the way the FOLD suspension system works, but you seem to have a fair amount of unassisted/low assistance travel. I keep meaning to try a volume spacer in the...
The aluminium piece, looks like a spacer, as you can see a receiver socket, moulded into the Bosch pick up sensor, that should mate up with the casting on the bike. Could the spacer be removed & a shorter bolt/ fixing be used to attach the sensor?
Been a thrifty Yorkshire man myself & also owning a Focus, I wouldn’t accept an aftermarket swing arm with no decals. Why should you? By aftermarket, do they mean it’s not a Focus item? It’s from another supplier. ( I don’t think BMW get there warranty replacements parts from Halfrauds) As I...
Andy I bought an Ex Demo XL 2020 Focus jam 2, 6.8 Nine. From sprockets in Kilmarnock during lockdown, great deal with 20% off. The sizing guide recommended L. I'm 6'2" but the XL is ideal, so be weary of sizing guides on your chosen list without trying. I think Sprockets have s Focus left. Great...
German engineering at its best?
I'm 105kg without back pack. [less of that fat B talk?]. So you can imagine what my shock has to put up with. Seems to get full travel just on a normal ride out without, pushing things too much. I'm going to try fully releasing the air using a pump, then re-do...
Not sure if it fits. But I know what you mean about the DPS in the rear. I think it's a lot to do with the F.O.L.D system, it seems to have more unsuspended/unassistaded travel, as its nearly impossible to set the sag & have enough supportive suspension travel. Not sure what your findings are...

I was of the same option as you wanted a HT to keep the expense down, I bit the bullet & bought a FS ex Demo from sprocketcycles, 10 days since, its true what OP's say on here you will be tackling stuff you wouldn't normally be doing, as emtb give you more access to places that require a...
