I was having chain slip as well as grinding and drivetrain noise also.
Turns out Shimano had a factory issue with hubs not being greased properly. My mechanic took mine apart cleaned and greased with Shimano white grease and all noise and chain slip has gone!
Hey Doug, I just had the exact same issue.
My mechanic had a similar issue before so he knew what to look for. It appears Shimano had some factory issues with hubs not being greased properly. My guy took my rear hub apart, cleaned all parts and then regreased everything with a special white hub...
My Rail 7 recently just ghosted(motor failure without code) I had just over 1500km on it since Aug 2020.When the rep here put in the new motor, same thing no original software was installed, instead a whole new version was added. Makes me wonder if something in the old version caused the failure...
Bad news good news.
Well after the Bosch rep here ran all new cables and a new kiox to diagnose as well as checking for error codes-which came up blank, he came to the conclusion that the motor is not responding. Good news is he has plenty of stock of new motors and told me I would be riding...
Well no luck, I tried the above action but still no power, I was able to cycle through the modes but no assistance kicked in, and the battery level still had no charge state just two dashes.
Thanks, I have been in contact with my local Bosch rep, I did a reset on the kiox and now it's plugged into a phone charger, as the battery level indicator is working when I took it off the bike..... ?
Hi guys,
Has anyone had this happen to there kiox?
I charged my battery after a ride a few days ago then when I went for a ride yesterday the kiox will power on but if I select any mode it will simply turn off and shows a blank under the battery bar.
The battery is charged to 100%
I also cleaned...
It was too hard to resist, instead of taking the board or the planks out I took my set of wheels out for a fantastic rip in the snow.
Anyone else enjoy there emtb in the white stuff? ?❄️
I had the same issue but on a much lesser scale. I was getting some minor chatter on my front brakes after second ride. Turns out either the factory or lbs put the bolts in backwards, as you can clearly see on my photo the spacer there has a thinner and thicker side. The side that had the...
Another issue is Trek is heavy on the paint so I would recommend applying clear vinyl in the most common area's, otherwise your gonna end up with some nasty paint chips.
That would work too!
I would still have to find a 6 bolt rotor though, parts are hard to come bye. So for now I'm just using a loose magnet on the back of the new centerlock rotor.
