I’ve done a fair bit of research but even the ‘best’ ones, such as the Sherlock, have some pretty crappy reviews.
Anyone got any experience with these?
Will do, but until then check out the pics in thi post: Quick ride this afternoon - EMTB Forums
I had planned on getting blue pedals before this post but this kinda sold me on it.
Great choice on the bike. For what it’s worth I demo’ed the trek and the Giant side by side with a mate and after an hour we were arguing over who got to ride the Giant. There really was no contest. Not in our minds anyway.
Ps, I ordered some blue fire eye pedals last night ;p
Oh and the...
From what I recall the liv and the E+3 are identical as far as spec goes but the liv has a lower standover and slightly more upright seat position.
My wife preferred the green/black of the E+3 too, but went for the liv due solely to the standover height.
I’ve hit my cranks only once with this bike, but there are some pretty gnarly rock gardens at some of the places I ride. If you’ve got your foot in anything other than the perfect position, then you’re gonna hit no matter the length. I wouldn’t replace them out of the box unless it becomes an...
At 5’11” you could definitely go for either the medium or the large. Giant’s sizing puts you in the Medium category, but it seems to me that a lot of people like to size up. Personally at 5’11 I think medium is perfect for me.
Seat post height is no issue. The dropper is a good one (nothing...
Yeah, the app is certainly not one of the selling points for Giant. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it was only updated a few weeks ago, so I wouldn’t be expecting anything new anytime soon.
Would be interesting if they opened up the system to third party developers like specialised did. I...
I did a LOT of research before buying my E+1 Trance and am not regretting it for a second. I too was worried about the lack of adaptive mode. This was the biggest negative for the Giant when I was considering it. Maybe if it was my second ebike and I was already used to using a adaptive mode it...
Only ridden a 2018 Levo, but wasn’t impressed. Was a slightly beaten up demo model, which might have had something to do with it.
I’m a novice rider so difficult to really articulate what was ‘wrong’ with it but put it this way: I spent a good few hours on the Levo and never felt confident. It...
When you take it off, does the bike work fine with the badassbox magnet exactly where it was or do you need to readjust it each time you take/put the box on/off?
I use this.
Thule 938AU VeloSpaceXT 2 Bike Carrier - Thule Australia
Actually a superseded version I got for about half the price. Still not cheap but it’s holding a lot of moneys worth.
It’s easy to use but heavy and a bit cumbersome. Would recommend but I still feel a little nervous with...
I’m witH SGIC (home and contents) and my monthly payments went up by $40! This is for 2 bikes, mine and my wife’s, but needless to say, I’m shopping around!
@Boots3150 are you sure you are covered for the full replacement amount? A lot of places will say you’re covered but the fine print says...
It’s an xs Liv and mines a medium Trance but the batteries are exactly the same and can be swapped out/over. So one cool thing about having two from the same range is that if either of us goes out on our own we can either take a battery in a backpack or leave one in the car and swap them over...
My wife and I picked ours up on Friday and went for our first ride yesterday (working Saturday).
Loving them! Did about 20kms or so (forgot to turn on the ride tracker till the end), mostly on 1 or 2 lights. Tried a lot of trails we never bothered with because of the climbs and had a great...
I agree that the lock is EASILY defeated in any workshop. But in regards to bike theft, it just meant that there is potentially one extra safety device that needs to be dealt with before a thief can make off with the bike. It doesn’t even have to be a super strong/secure lock, but if it means...
