Mountain Biking The untold British story

Worth the watch, some of those handlebars, man I don't know how they stayed upright.

What saddle, pedals, handlebars, and grips did you end up with?

Pedals: I ended up with the Giant Pinner DH Flats. Seat: Initially looked at the SQLabs 60x but are out of stock in Oz so went with the WTB Volt Team. Bars: Not changed the bars yet but will be getting some risers soon for sure, looking at the Renthal Fatbar Lite in 30 or 40mm, have not decided...

Thanks, bookmarked for future reference. On a similar note, has anyone used the AMS frame protectors on their Trance E? I already have some scratches on my top tube and looking to do add them on my E+1.

    New Bikes!! Trance e+1 & e+3

Cheers for that, will check them out. I have been thinking getting carbon risers myself, 30 to 40mm. I find the bars a little low as well.

    Hi from New Zealand

Welcome Julio, try and get a test ride of as many as you can, I have the Trance E+1 and love it, happy with the spec, I'm changing the seat and bars but that is more for comfort than anything else. Climbs like a mofo too! The Merida has a nice balance to it and smooth/natural feel motor.

    TransAngeles with Hans Rey

Just discovered this on Youtube, I liked the urban and trail mix. Good to see ebikes being used in an urban environment and Hans talks briefly about ebikes half way through, a little stylised and a bit of product placement but a cool video all the same.

    Cats?!

I like both Cats and Dogs, when we built our new house I was going to get a dog, my wife wanted a cat, so we "compromised" and got 2 cats. It all worked out in the end as my cat Odin is bigger than most dogs and he behaves like a dog too.

GIANT TRANCE SX E+ 0 PRO

They are in 20% increments (5 lights) so it is not as defined as a digital display, it isn't a problem for me at the moment but I can see that if you are really using the battery to the end it would be a pain to not knowing how much charge is left in the last 20% at a glance. I find I use the...

hi from brisbane australia , soon to own a merida 160/900 e bike , any thoughts on the merida brand ??

I've had a quick test on the 160/900 and found it to be a nicely balanced bike. Kudos on the Landau, you don't see many of those around in good nick anymore.

GIANT TRANCE SX E+ 0 PRO

I have the model under this one (E+1 PRO) and really happy with it, I'd imagine that the SX will be better again so I don't think you will have any problem liking the bike.

    Hello from Brisbane, Australia

Welcome, fairly hard to get a bad bike these days, you will be happy with any of those. I have only had a ride of the Merida and found it to be a very balanced bike. Another one to consider is the Giant Trance E+1, not that I'm biased or anything. :sneaky:
