Thanks for the input, yeah mine too seemed to have just enough clearance. But in the end I bought the bumper solution from cyclesolvers and fitted it anyway just for peace of mind more than anything.
Finally finding a more confidence inspiring setup and as a result some extra speed. In the next few videos coming out in future weeks quite a bit of progression is made but this video was the start of it all.
I guess I need to double check my bike to see will it make contact. I only took a very quick look when I realised one of the bump stops had fallen off and it looked to me like there was more than enough clearance.
Owners of medium and small frames, what is the consensus of opinion regarding the fork/frame bump stops?
I have lost one of mine after it got damaged in my most recent crash.
I am aware we can replace with the same again from Marin or we can replace with a "better" solution from cyclesolvers...
My experience.
EP801 four months (200 odd miles) of ownership and never noticed any issues with it at all.
But this forum thread got me curious so I connected the etube app via bluetooth and went in to the logs and sure enough an E914 error was logged back in September when the bike was...
Depends on which cog of the cassette you are in at the time surely!
Personally I never want to spin at 50rpm my knees just can't take the low grind. Spin to win.
Also from real world EP801 experience, I have hit the 15.5mph UK limiter on well above 50rpm
I started off a bit rusty on this one having been off the bike for 21 days due to a cold, work and really wet stormy weather, found my mojo again towards the end
