IME If you did that it would be expensive, I bought 2 chains with my new cassette & was a .75 within a month (160 miles). Whereas that 1500 miles I did on that quite worn cassette, was one single chain. Which is why I'm happy using a cheap and cheerful slx cassette and binning it without regret...
got around 1500miles out of mine and it was still working but was missing a number of teeth, and I was due for a big weekend away so changed it

well that confused me, why would my hello post would still be near the top..ohhh..Heh, welcome and get ready to have a great time on your new bike! (just bought my second e-bike)
Run mine for the best part of a year with 2.8 nobby nic’s, love them as their just so daft but then I’m just like having fun. They are a compromise in wet conditions , but I ran them all winter without major issues (you get used to their performance). Though I had planned to change them back, if...
..but he could have been out on it yesterday, if it wasn't muddy :ROFLMAO:
Taz is a tart :giggle:
22miles & 2800ft of climbing, which was a lot more fun without waiting for the manual bikes (sorry Sean), pity the weather/conditions had turned to shit.
FTFY
Having spent 8 week waiting for my bike back (& given a new bike in the end) I'd totally back this. 8 weeks was ok, as it was my 1st ebike so I didn't miss it, now I'd be trying to buying another if that happened!
Aha cool, yep you paid less than that, I was looking the last link for £3500 & didn't want ppl hassling Rich for a ridiculous amount of discount.
.. you do know this is Paul yeah?
Take his pricing with a pinch of salt, the actual discount from the shop was great, but not to the level of the Trance, by itself...
PS: I'm not trying to be an arse, more to stop ppl calling raceco and expecting a ridiculous discount (just keen :D ) .
Anything with pitzips (unless your a racing snake who doesn't sweat), then it doesn't matter how boil in the bag the material is. I have a ridiculously old decathlon softshell for winter and a Mammut coat for summer/full on wet weather days, obviously both with pitzips (& an annoying hood on the...
Anyone want to confirm I need a 53mm chainline SM-CRE80 front sprocket, as the Vitus is a boost frameset? I'm pretty sure this is correct, but would like it confirmed. I like the idea of 11-46T cassette but considering my current cassette is looking pretty ****ed up, with teeth missing from the...
I think you over thinking this, which is quite normal ;) but basically unless you going up ultra steep inclines, any of the system 10/11/12 will work fine. Obviously the 12 speed will give you the best range of gears, but it hardly like your talking about racing where every joule of energy...
StuE what size is the rear mud hugger, std or 29er version? (is that a piece zip tied on at the end??)
Liking the use of the neoguard
Polaris, I use that space below the SP collar to mount my rear light, but yes the Topeak is a great mudguard, I have one on my HT too.
Anyone fitted a rear mud guard (with good coverage) yet? I'm assuming the mud hugger or maybe a zefal no mud are the best options for a full suss with a dropper post.
Can't suggest their the best tyre about but a limited 30miles on them (before returning the bike and being sent another makes/model with different tyres) I'm going to give some 2.8 Nobby Nic's another try, as there currently only around £20 on Tyres MTB Tyres 27.5" + - folding Online Shop |...
Late to this thread but I will add, my Evil looks as are good as new after 3 years, I can't recommend Invisiframe enough... pity I had no patience for my Vitus, as that's looks quite shabby after 5 months.
.. I did think about it, as my previous (temporary) e-mtb had a 11-46 and it was excellent but then I was more interested in riding the Vitus when it arrived, than waiting for more parts to arrive. TBH you just up the power mode if it gets to hard to push the 42 toothed sprocket. i will...
