So - anyone keen on the new Niner E9 ebikes, Rip 9 and 180mm WFO?

Starting in the $6K range here in the US is smart, that is the meat of the EMTB market. I would like to see a step up in frame (carbon) and better components but in Niner expanding their E offerings, I see them going wide with gravel bikes and hard tails before they do upmarket and deeper in...

How much battery do you need on your next emtb?

Less. I have a 625w now. If I could knock 10lb off my bike with a smaller battery and lighter motor (10 MPH top speed), I would be happy.

Riding with your non EMTB friends, what is the etiquette?

I do use Strava for our group and just to keep track of miles but I have mine set as an Ebike. I have seen some dick-ish replies here, I am sure some are in jest but really, you don't know who is reading the thread. As I say on my site, "When replying in a thread, you are not answering the...

    Bike racks

    I Personally wouldn't put a 24kg eBike hanging rack OR a roofrack, but that's just me. ;)

Riding with your non EMTB friends, what is the etiquette?

When riding with your non E-bike friends, how do you adjust your riding style? Do you dial it back or lead the group? Do you find descention in the other riders? Will some not ride with you any more?

Upgrade GX derailleur or swap to XT ?

I actually was set to do this when we ordered our C-Dale Habit 2 Neo. We much prefered Shimano shifting to Sram, I also like being able to use my pointer for downshifting. Problem was availability this summer. XT 8100 rear derailleurs were on back order and XT shifters were also tough to come...

Do you have trouble putting your 29" MTB on your Yakima HoldUp? Read This.

https://www.pugski.com/ams/yakima-holdup-bike-rack-mod-for-29ers.124/ Snippet: I didn’t think it would be a big deal going from a mountain bike with 27.5-in. wheels to a one with 29s, but I was wrong in one area: when it came to transporting them on our Yakima HoldUp bike rack. According to...

Dream ebike of the future. What would you want?

Sub 40lb full suspension, 150mm travel, 250w motor is fine, even less range, 30 miles is fine. I am a believer of Colin Chapman's philosophy, "add lightness"

    Racks that actually fit eMTBs!

I have a Holdup (1) and I did a hack in that I turned the trays around which puts the arms on the inside. This makes it much easier to get them on my 29x2.6 tires. I put the arm up first they put the bike in the trays verses trying to get the arm over the wheel. I then took off the rear tire...

Will going faster make it easier?

Not necessarily speed, but momentum is key.
