What you are saying does not make a lot of sense to me.. The bike is not fit for you and hacking into the frame sounds like a terrible idea at least to me. It's not like this is the height of the pandemic where you can't get an ebike there's so many other options that are arguably even a lot...
I have been struggling with battery alignment on my ransom since i got it. I am not sure I totally understand your explanation though. Can you shoot a youtube video of your procedure?
I cannot get it the battery to both fit in and also at the same time catch on the intermediary clip on removal...
thats crazy that a K3 feels like a medium with a 1343 wheelbase!
my dh bike is 1290 wheelbase and my current size large scott ransom eride is 1287. but i know what you are saying about these steep seat tube angles, my ransom eride is very steep seattube angle and feels small seated and i have...
What size do you reckon for 183cm rider? The Pole site says k2 or k3 depending but of course that doesnt really help me decide. I imagine the bike feels short seated compared to reach number with steep seattube angle but is that enough to make me go k3? Awfully long wheelbase on the k3 has me...
the key/mount hardware on my ebike are very annoying, the alignment is way to finicky to reset when it comes out of alignment. but for me an easily swappable battery is a necessity. on ebike trips i run through 2 batteries each day riding all turbo mode. i think the mounting hardware needs to be...
You should have gotten him a Stark Varg for a full moto those things look amazing. This sur ron i have been riding on some mtb trails and its super fun, not a problem where I live the trails dont see hardly any use rarely see anyone out there. The one downside I see to them is they end up being...
I have had it for a couple months and have done a bunch of upgrades most notably Bomber58 forks and float x2 shock. I totally love the thing, it is super easy to ride and can handle anything mountain bikes would. If you like your electric mtb you will love these things.
I love my Ransom but the seattube length is too long and I cant go bigger than a 170mm dropper. And the battery alignment mount has been finicky. I think I would like a Voima more but i got my Ransom a year ago and there was no Voima available then. But that is what I would go with atm.
A 470 seattube is not something you want. It limits your dropper length. I can only run a 170 dropper on my Ransom Eride which has a 470 seattube length. But yeah, dont buy one of these Decoys rn, its a dated design and there are many better options out there atm.
it was a tough choice tbh. i would have like ride both but they dont sell these where i live. the talaria has a shorter wheelbase by 40mm and they are both short, that was a big factor. the extra 25 pounds on the talaria and also the seat seems to be angled weirdly. its a bit of gamble cause i...
its an actual sur ron which comes with low end parts so i will be doing fairly extensive upgrades. still will be less money than my ebike even though battery is 3 times the size, go figure
Emtb ruined me for regular bikes but I only ever ride in turbo now and I will want more power lotta the time. So I order a Sur Ron, will see if it ruins me for emtb. I got used to the weight of my full fat pretty quick, but this thing is 100 pounds so will see how I take to it. I think acoustic...
I could be wrong but I dont see these low power ebikes being around for long. I imagine the the rail will outsell this 5 to 1, I just dont see too many customers choosing this over the rail with all the power and range for a 10lb weight trade off. The trick is going to be getting the full fat...
meh, why dont they just come out with a wireless xt shifter/derailleur to compete with axs?
and what is the deal with "new" ep8 exactly, why dont they talk about that? does it have more power and range/watt hour or what exactly is new about it? does it put the ep8 on par with bosch and brose...
They say you want stronger wheels cause you are riding faster, more often and more miles being the greater factors than the extra weight and motor power. I suspect there is some truth to this
Does the motor need to be removed to change or reposition the housing on these scott bikes? I need to get the housing pushed a bit more out the back to fix my shifting issue but at first looks its seems like motor needs to come out to accomplish this
