    eMTB or not eMTB

Been trying this out on a couple of trips then comparing it to using just tour and boost or whatever it’s called. I seem to be using more battery using the eMTB which I found a bit odd. Can’t say that I particularly liked the eMTB but maybe I just have to get used to it or perhaps it’s me being...

    WARNING TICKS!!!! - please read

Should add that I find that Smidge works great as a deterrent. Anything with large amount of Deet in it is likely to melt anything plastic such as your nice expensive watch! From Wikipedia: DEET is an effective solvent and may dissolve some watch crystals, plastics, rayon, spandex, other...

    WARNING TICKS!!!! - please read

Here in Scotland we don't have tick borne encephalitis but we do have Lyme disease which can be just about as bad. Not all ticks carry the disease but if you develop a red rash like a ring then get to your doc ASAP. The comments are : If diagnosed in the early stages, Lyme disease can be cured...

    Protecting the Kiox (Holder)

I think that we might be a bit at cross purposes here. I probably wasn't too clear what my "problem" is. If there is one. I transport the bike on a rack on the back of the car. Kiox is removed and sits safely in the car. BUT The contacts for the Kiox are exposed to the elements while the bike...

    Protecting the Kiox (Holder)

Yep I agree but it's the holder I'm "worried" about with the contacts getting all that nice wetting Scottish weather.??

    Protecting the Kiox (Holder)

I don't want to fit the Kiox permanently. Much prefer to take it on & off. Seems safer somehow. BUT Driving home in the rain today I wondered if I should protect the holder in some way from the usual Scottish weather. Is it worth protecting in some way & if so how? Cling film?

    E. Bike lube?

Thanks Beekeeper. Yep got that but there is a specific E Bike lube from Mucoff whichI don't think is the one you're referring too. Wet Chain Lube Agreed though that it's great fun (How sad am I?☹) to shine the torch and see the green glow. Beats the TV any time!?

    E. Bike lube?

A bit doubtful that I'd use E bike lube or indeed any Mucoff lube for your other three ideas. Each to their own though.o_O

    E. Bike lube?

I see that Mucoff are now offering a specific E bike lube. Is this just clever marketing? Will I be wasting my money or is it a great and fantastic idea that I should be looking to purchase.   (And use!)

    Do you polish your bike?

Some say that it stops the mud sticking and others just like a nice bike.:giggle::giggle: So if you do polish your bike what do you use. How to polish carbon or even matt carbon:unsure::unsure:

    Mino Link settings

Probably a couple of silly queries but I'll ask anyway. Can you tell which setting the bike is in just by looking at it and if so how? If not anyone got any details of the measurements involved? E.g. bottom bracket height in each setting. Secondly should the "eye" showing which way to adjust...

Interesting thoughts. I thought that I’d just get shouted at. I’ve dealt with Tredz & Leisure Lakes in the past for big purchases but it was a long time ago. My nearest bike shop that does Trek (Some lovely bikes(y)) is probably Leuchars.
