Well it turned up and I am suitably impressed. Nice little unit to use as a bike computer. I used a proper quad lock attachment, that uses my stem screw to hold it down, and with the phone being so light. I bounced the bike quite violently and no movement at all.
I put the Shimano ETube Ride...
Everyone I have spoken to, says the Cues just doesn't shift as crisply as the XT Di2 Shifter. And the whole point for me to go electronic shifting was for "As Perfect" as possible shifting, with zero adjustment required in the future. So just get the XT derailleur. EMTB's are expensive. I don't...
Water and Electrics don't mix. There will be water ingress into one of the components or connections. It's just finding the damaged component.
Even though motors can have decent IP ratings. Water can be sucked in when the motor casing is cooled quickly, causing the air inside to contract and...
I had stopped with the bike in 12th gear and I tried to go from gear 12 to gear 3 too quickly. I rapidly pressed the shift down button too many times whilst pedalling really slowly. This will jam any derailleur into the cassette.
With a cable derailleur, you'd feel the cable tighten, and stop...
Yep. That's how I'm running it mostly.
I have A1 set up with MTB cadence. And A2 with road cadence. But yes. On Trails I mostly use M for Manual so I can manually shift whilst coasting.
Oh BTW. Something to note on the Electronic Di2 XT derailleur.
I had a derailleur malfunction on the...
The only reason you would go back, is if you were having reliability issues with your ebike. And regarding reliability. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance is the X factor. As well as not riding through deepish cold water, or spraying your bike with large amounts of cold, including on a bike...
I use the Manual Coast Shift a lot. But I'm using Free-Shift less and less. The problem with the Free-Shift is sometimes I gear down to get my bike ready for terrain I see ahead, and the Free-Shift will gear back up again.
As Backflip says. They may not be able to do it, or want to do it. But you can ask.
My LBS where I bought the EMTB didn't have the software to do it. But they did have the cable. So they allowed me to bring the bike to the shop, with my own laptop, and make the changes myself at the shop.
It...
Yes. I had the same CS-M7100-12 cassette and bought that derailleur. RD-M8150-12 This is the derailleur you need.
No. The cassette is Hyperglide+ CS-M7100-12. But the Di2 12 speed RD-M8150-12 derailleur is the correct derailleur for that cassette. There is no 12 speed Linkglide Cassette. Only...
As I do ride my EMTB on the road a bit. I have paid for the EMax license so I can set my bike to 30mph when I need to. But that does require a firmware modification, and is detectable by shimano.
But I plan to upgrade my EP600 motor to EP801 in the future. So if the motor fails. I'll just do...
I'm really just going to use it on the bike, and the Shimano Apps only require Android 7 or higher. The phone comes with Android 10 and Blue Tooth 4.1, which should be fine.
From the ETube Ride App site.
I've been using my Pixel Phone, running the Shimano ETube Ride App, blue toothed to my Shimano motor, as a bike computer. It works really well, giving motor, heart rate, and ride statistics. It also directly links to Strava as well.
But when I'm on really technical trails, it gives the phone...
Bike computers like the Garmin, connect and read data from the motor over Bluetooth. There is no modified flag after connection.
My LBS that sold me my Shimano EP600 EMTB, actually lent me a cable to modify my motor with the EMax App, to allow me to install an electronic Di2 derailleur and...
Mate, if you are happy with the bike. That's all that matters. Just trying to give a balanced perspective of using the word "Steal" to other readers.
It could just be the Merida is really well priced in Australia. The Recommended retail is AUD$8500, which is $100 more than the N8XE in...
I looked at it before buying my Merida E160. That 6 bar suspension is really heavy, making the bike over 26kgs. It also came with 12 speed transmission, meaning you didn't get Autoshift.
Don't get me wrong. It's a really nice bike. But I spent AUD$2500 less on the Merida and it only cost me...
