I really do not know. This battery has to be charged on its own charger and when connected it is meant to run together as one battery (it is also shown that way). I do not know if it would work. Ask their support...
I don't believe it would run without internal one.

P.s. i have 800wh combined with internal battery which is A LOT :D
Someone should go on a ride with 1.1 motor and empty the battery on turbo mode and repeat it with 1.2 motor and record everything with velociraptor + BLevo app. Then you would see the difference between performances.
I've posted a link to this thread in FB group called Specialized Levo SL and Kenevo SL under some post saying that kenevo SL with 1.2 is out and that it has 33% more power and 42% more torque as 1.1 and I got a warning message from group admin saying that I shoudn't say such things so they...
I spray them with brake cleaner, then I put some brake oil on cotton ear pads and lube them.
Afterwards I push them back in, insert the brake inserts (the ones you use for bleeding), push the lever to push out the pistons and repeat the process for a few times (until the pistons come out evenly).
It's ugly as hell but i've got 800wh of batteries for long rides :P

Great work!!!
I would love spec to drop the mahle motor and just take the one that sits in Orbea Rise and use better cells for their battery. Just for info - i've bought aftermarket 480wh extender for KSL and it weights only 1.8 kg. That is the same as internal 320wh.
Imagine having stock...
