Thanks, I left it in climb last ride and no strikes. Not quite as magical, but still a LOT better than the dps . Meanwhile I'm working on technique and hope to be able to open that lever in a few weeks
I'm really surprised how much faster I am uphill with this shock. There's an intermediate...
My sacrificial bike is an old merida hard tail - from the era when a xxl frame still had 26 " wheels. I leave it highly visible so there is no confusion - this is NOT a bike being dumped. It's really handy for times when we want to kayak down a river then ride back to the car, but I never...
Thanks Gary, I might not be explaining what's happening - the strikes are mid corner up hill . So if anything it might be my poor cornering technique showing up now that I have more rear traction ? Ie I'm not clipping rocks , just touching down as I apex????? But I'll put more effort into...
I upgraded the shock in my levo sl from the fox dps to a rock shox superdeluxe ultimate - it's amazing , etc, etc, but I've started clipping my inside foot mid corner ( uphill only) . Just light clips, no true pedal strikes , but I hadn't touched ground for a year and now it's 3/4 a ride. Should...
Look on the bright side, with modern long / low geometry it's not your nuts getting slammed by the drink bottle.
Every ER Dr has a story about someone who slipped in the shower - now a whole generation will be wondering who kelly is.
I'm picturing Robs reign, with a collection of sprogs on leads begging him to wait at the top of the hill so they have reception to submit their school project .
For perspective, the " school run duties" Aus style
For weekend / short trips you are unlikely to need permanent solar.
We spent 3 months travelling off grid with nothing but a spare battery charging whilst driving + a 150 w folding solar blanket. If we intended to stay in one site longer than 3 days we set up the solar blanket ( on the...
Damn - my daughter scratched my dps, so it's leaking air. Unfortunately there aren's any fox x2's in Aus at the moment.
So question for those who know these things, am I better getting a rockshox superdeluxe ultimate, or a plain fox x ( removed unused from a stumpjumper evo) . Or do I treat...
Everyone claims they won't sue - right up until sh1t happens , the kids get hungry and the only way to pay the mortgage involves sharing your significant other with sweaty people - and he/she/ze starts to enjoy it.
So are you just asking is ot possible to join a local mtb club without paying for racing / riding insurance / membership?
Why not just join the club of your choice via an Aus cycling " suporter" or " non riding" membership ? It's only $10 annual and gives the club the cover they need to have...
How does that work?
With more available travel , doesn't it make sense to go less pressure + an extra token ? Ie plusher initial stroke, similar midstroke support , within the limits of the same bottom put resistance ?
If you go extra travel then remove a token, that means running extra...
No - specialized fitted normal 36 mm forks, not ebike forks. The forks have a number on them, it's worth checking that when you order because everything gets confusing between 2019 and 2021 .
That weight sounds about right - the expert will have a lighter cassette than a comp , they might be thin / light minions , so don't weight the bike and it'll always feel like 38 lbs :)
Be aware that buying second hand your warranty isn't the same as the original owner - eg frame / wheels...
