What did you buy your ebike this week?

SRAM GX Eagle shifter. Since I broke the OEM shifter in an off a couple of weeks ago. At the rate I’m replacing things from breaking them (derailleur, shifter) and upgrading them (stem, brakes), my Powerfly might as well be a Rail.

Good to know. I just installed WTB Byway tires. Fingers crossed that I get this issue sorted and it’ll be worry free for a minute. I’ve been trying to dial in this bike for months.

Got in a short ride on the other ebike today. Shakedown ride after some upgrades and damn but I think the front wheel is out of true.

It’s 38° C here. At least I can sit in the garage and sip a beer and admire the bikes?

We all get them. Some more so than others. It’s part and parcel of MTBng. And, I suspect, why some of us ride—to see how much discomfort we can tolerate. LOL From pedal bites to broken ribs to concussions, how have you hurt yourself with your eMTB? What’s the story behind the injury? I was...

    Iphone Nav App suggestion please.

X2 for Gaia. It’s fantastic. I use it for MTBng and off roading in the 4x4.

Correct. Bikepacking is mostly a winter thing to do here, so I’ve just left the gear on the bike for the summer months.

My first time riding trails with trees! To explain, I drove halfway across the US to visit my family in Mississippi. While there I rode the Mt. Zion Bike Park trails outside of Brookhaven. VERY COOL trails. And it was quite the change from my usual New Mexican desert riding. I rode the trail...

Last weekend I traveled from New Mexico to Mississippi to visit family (1100 miles/1770 km). A few miles from my parents’ home is Mt. Zion Bike Park outside of Brookhaven, MS. I rode 10 miles (16 km) of the trails in 87° (33° C) heat with 87% humidity because it was in between rain storms...

This little section was a mo’fo today. Doesn’t look like much but parts of it were 10 and 11% grades. UGH. Felt as though I walked the bike more than rode it today. Ever have those friends who are friends with the most Stainless Steel cyclists in your town/area? Yah, my riding buddy asked THAT...

Ended my morning ride with a very, VERY flat rear tire. But at least the Organ Mountains looked spectacular while I walked the bike back to the parking lot.

It was an unusually good weather evening here in the high desert. Cool and cloudy made for a perfect short ride.
