Has that been confirmed anywhere? I thought all the cable connectors were the same but in different locations? May have got that very wrong though! I would like to upgrade from my E7000 at some point, so hoping they start to sell it as a seperate item soon.

I guess there will be an initial stockpile for warranty claims and then the EP8 would work as a replacement? I know they aren't selling them individually yet, but expect they will in a year or so, and believe they're plug and play as a replacement?

I have to say that I'd be put off buying a second hand bike because of the lack of warrenty. Theyre a big purchase, and very expensive to fix, not if, but when, they go wrong. Due to that, it may work out cheaper to buy new.

Unfortunatly I've got bored of most of the EMBN videos. Feels like they're churning out the same old stuff over and over again. I also get the impression the presenters dont always know much about the topic they're presenting on. I hope that doesn't come across as too harsh!

Agreed. A lot of parts are hard to find at the moment so I'm trying to stock up on spares including chains etc. They'll come in handy at some point, so I dont feel like I'm wasting any money.

How much of the energy usage is due to air resistance when cycling? I know the roadies spend a lot of time worrying about it, but would assume other losses are bigger proportion? No idea though.

Sounds a lot like my job! Although I often say if you can't explain the concept to someone, you don't really understand it yourself. There is always an exception to the rule though... although assuming people can't read a percentage may be taking it a bit far!

I'm just assuming it will be worthless by the time I'm done with it, and that way I don't have to worry. Hopefully I'll get something back for it, but I'm realistic that after the warranty is up its a massive risk to anyone buying it and so the price will end up reflecting that. I just wish...

I've only got experience of shimano drive trains, but I spent a while washing the patio down today after I'd washed the bike on it, it was that muddy! And never had any issues with it jumping out. I dont have a chain guide on either BTW.

It looks like they won't directly replace the internal batteries which is a shame. I expect someone may start to offer a reconditioning service soon when there is enough demand. If I could find a cheap battery I'd be happy to pull it apart and have a go myself.

Thats really bad if you're only getting 4km from the last 40%. Did that start recently or has it come on gradually?

Part of that will be due to the way you charge lithium batteries. You slow the rate for the last 20% of charge down a lot. With the last bar, representing last 20% of the battery, it will be holding back 5% or so for the reserve, which will also be why the last bar seems to go faster.

I think the question was around matching the timing of the chainring to the cassette? If so, you don't need to. Even if you did, it would go out of time the first time you changed gear! As others say, the different teeth on the cassette are to support changing gear and are nothing to do with...
