    Hi From Dumfries

Great trails in your area, and you have got the right bike to exploit them. Rode Dalbeattie and Kirroughtree last summer for the first time in 13 years (Didn’t visit Mabie and Ae which I rode on the previous visit). Kirroughtree is my favourite, as it tests me so much, just nothing like it...

    2019 turbo levo motor noise

Mine didn’t notice on the car park ride I did at the bike shop, and I didn’t expect it to be noisy as it was stock that came in from Spesh UK the day before, and was after the date where they were supposed to have filtered out the noisy bikes. But I noticed it as soon as I got on the trails...

    2019 turbo levo motor noise

Oh, and do a search for the previous thread on this subject - it has plenty of recordings/videos for reference, as well as other folks descriptions and experiences in getting motors changed. Simon

    2019 turbo levo motor noise

Go to a trail park and go up a climb busy with analogue bikers. If they hear you coming when you are 10 yards behind them you have a noisy motor (Ask me how I know). Mine was replaced and is pretty quiet, just a slight whine that changes frequency with cadence. Definitely not as quiet as my...

    Dissapointing ride

If the bike was carried outside the car in those temperatures I would take off the battery and carry it inside the car to keep it around 70F. Once riding it will take a while to cool, and there will be a bit of self-heating anyway, so will give much better performance. Simon

Unanswered Cassette and hub fell off!

There is nothing to hold it on. I also noticed this (and it was a bit of a pain) whilst changing out a rear tyre. If you can find the pawl, just wind the cassette and freehub back in whilst turning it in a direction that makes the pawls lie flat (you may have to hold the pawls down with your...

    Dissapointing ride

Wow, that seems very short on range - A bit of a surprise as in other threads people are raving about the range available with these bikes - e.g. 25 miles and 4000’ of climbing with 40% + left in the battery. Is it a new bike, as maybe it has a battery problem. Simon

    6 weeks in”

Specialized have an app for calculating range on each of the different Levo models, subject to input of rider characteristics, average speed, terrain, mode etc. This is for an eco ride in hilly terrain for my weight/height at an average speed of 15Km/h, 1900m of climbing (not untypical in the...

2019 levo, motor drag when motor off

No, but if it is your first e-bike it might just be you getting used to the different feel between assistance on and off. If possible try someone else’s e-bike to see if you feel the same effect. The motor has a one-way clutch which should disconnect - Do the cranks turn freely if if you move...

Drag on first ride 2019 Levo

Just sounds like the difference between assistance and hitting the 15mph limit to me. The 2019 Levo is a smoother transition than my old 2017 Levo at the cut-off point. Having said that, it is not unknown for the Sprague one-way bearing to stick, although it is normally in older bikes. As...

    Override speed limiter

Tough Luck! 2.025 does not pass wheel size to the motor. Not sure if its a bug or intended, but as it has been like it for a while, presumably its as Spesh intended.

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

BTW, the cable needs the loop to allow for the ‘twisting’ when the battery connector is opened and closed (e.g. for charging). If the cable went straight from the connector to the battery connector it would likely fail quickly due the twisting over a short distance - the two power power wires...

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I notice that the rubber boot on the main connector has split in exactly the same place as mine (which either happened at the factory or Spesh UK)

    The Official BLEvo Thread

On the 2019 Levo a wheel size of 2300mm default setting gives 25Km/h, so you would need to set the wheel size to about 1275mm to give 45Km/h (assuming your Levo will accept a wheel change size)

    Override speed limiter

Have a search - there are lots of threads already covering this, but if you have just bought the bike the answer is likely no.

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

You can heat the lower part of the cover with a heat gun (a hair dryer may not be hot enough) and bend it against a hard flat surface so that it takes a set . I took mine off earlier to seal the cable split in my cable, and it didn’t want to go back without a gap - heat gun has bent it in...

    2019 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I had my motor changed and the foam put in by Spesh UK - I thought I would check that crap was being kept out so I loosened the non-drive over screws to have a peek and it was clean, but the rubbber cable/connector seal has split (probably by too much pushing like you say). So I will seal it...

    Turning on problem ??

Might be worth toggling stealth mode on, switching the bike on then off, then on MC switch stealth mode back off. May be a bug that is resettable by toggling the mode. Does everything else work ok other than the leds don’t stay on? Simon
