Depends on the terrain, in our region : old dune area, tight turns, roots, 27,5x2,8 is a lot more nimble as 29x2,6 (even when those are on the light DT swiss carbon wheels)
Tried Bontrager XR2, but removed after 20 kms, no confidence.
Ikon 29x2,6" EXO rear, also no confidence.
Now running Rekon 29x2,6 (also a 27,5x2,8 set) in EXO+, much more predictable. De double side wall protection gives a lot of added stability.
For heavy trails (not in the area where we live)...
Tried the same. But the side knobs of an XR2 can't handle the extra weight of an e-Bike.
I run 27,5x2,8" Rekon now, and 29x2,6" Rekon/Ikon.
Much better. Great cornering.
Good rolling resistance
Next month we go to Scotland, to ride some of the 7 Stanes.
To get there, I have to put my bike on a tow ball carrier, on a compact SUV.
As Scotland is known for the wet conditions...
Can it stand the rain during highway cruising?
The manual says even a garden hose can damage the components...
I used a Garmin 820, buggy software and poor battery life. The 1030 is a lot better. For pure navigation I still prefer my old Etrex 30, it is more reliable. You can use a smartphone with a Quadlock mount, but hitting the floor could be costly as those things are not build for smashing to the...
Lets say I run a ThunderBurt in the rear on my Spark RC, to give an idea of the underground.
Two of the friends ride fatbikes.
But I would like to have a tougher sidewall as the RoRo.
Any recommendations for fast rolling 27,5" tires for my Levo 2019? I can try a wheelset from a buddy, and he thinks 27,5" is better suited for our local terrain (old dune area, sandy, roots, tight turns, no rocks) compared to the 29".
He has Rocket Rons width 2,6" mounted, so that will be the...
I've put a 36t. For commuting, derestricted.
It keeps me one sprocket bigger in the rear and hope to get a higher mileage out of it.
For our trip to Scotland it will be the original 32t .
On MC, 780W is the highest number I've seen up to now.
The 2.1 gives a higher support percentage as the 1.3,
but I don't think the max power is higher.
I have them. Super wheels.
If the boss did not pay 50% of my bike, those would have been out of reach for the budget.
Tried my carbon enduro wheels (Acros Enduro, 1465 grams) from my Spark RC, but those could not handle the load.
In the shop they set all the Levo's on high where I live, which is more an XC area.
It is more nibble in behavior, for our trip to Scotland in June I will have it set to low.
