I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Yes, the info on purchasing it is buried in page 3 of this thread, but the thread is getting so long no one can find it :) I just added a signature to my profile so that the info will be in each of my posts. But, basically you can find all the info here: I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo...

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Thanks for the update @Darcy. I'm loving all the great feedback. When you do get it mounted I'm interested if it clears the carbon frame ok. If it does then that should mean I just need 2 versions of the LSS which would be great.

Thanks @TPX for measuring the DT axles. @Darcy, looking forward to your feedback on the fitment of the LSS for the S-Works model. I believe you are the first to try it. @oldfox, yes I will create a 'Levo Expert' version of the LSS once its determined it fits well. I'm hoping the S-Works is the...

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Great feedback, thanks! So, when you say the LSS does not fit on the Levo S-Works, are you saying it hits the frame? Like the frame doesn't have as much clearance? Just trying to understand if its a frame clearance issue, or if it is just that the axle is a smaller diameter like on the Expert...

That would be great, thanks! I live in Southern California.

Thanks Highflyer. It would be great to get measurements from several people to ensure there is consistency. We need 2 measurements: Axle Using calipers, measure the rear hub axle diameter on the non-drive side (near the brake rotor). Also check if the axle diameter is consistent throughout the...

Thanks for the clarification oldfox. I didn't realize you had an aftermarket wheelset. Hopefully all the DT Swiss axles are the same diameter for the Levos. Fingers crossed.

Hi TPX, yes I can add another product for the DT swiss, but I'm still not 100% sure on the fitment yet. I just saw on the forums that @oldfox has and aftermarket wheelset (DT Swiss HXC 1200 Carbon Wheelset ) in which he measured the 19mm (which may have a different axle size then the Levo Expert...

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

I still haven't heard from anyone on the fitment for S-works with the carbon rear end, so if you are able to test-fit it on your mates bike that would be great! Also would be good to know the axle diameter on the S-works model (hopefully 19mm!).

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Part VII The beta version of the LSS seems to be working well for several people, but it brought to light one big difference between the different specs of Levo's. The Levo can be spec'd with 3 different hubs, and the Levo Expert's hub axle has a smaller diameter. If you happened to have...

Your setup looks solid, thanks for the pics. I actually did create hub specific parts but I put the info in a reply to someone (above) which may make it easy to miss. I'll create a new post with the info so it's easier to find.

Awesome setup @oldfox! I like your ingenuity. Thank you for measuring the axle diameter, I created a new version for the Levo Expert and created a product that contains just the sun gear and cover with the new smaller diameters. I set the inner diameter to exactly 19mm, so hopefully it is a good...

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Thanks @MattyG and @Mhugdoc for all the feedback. MattyG, yes you hit the nail on the head, I didn't realize the different specs of bikes use different rear hubs (I had checked rotors, and thankfully the rotors are the same). So it looks like there are 3 completely different rear hubs each of...

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

Hi MattyG, welcome to the forum! I realized I need a picture that shows the name of each part as this should make it less confusing when referring to a specific piece so I just did that here: Based on your description it sounds like the sun gear is not sitting tight to the wheel hub, is that...

@2manytickets, have you been able to get yours installed yet? It sounds like a few others of you should be receiving the LSS soon :)

I created a purely mechanical Turbo Levo speed limit increase

I did a little research and it looks like the 2019 Kenevo uses the same hubs and brake rotors as the 2019 Levo? Does the magnet mount in the same way as the 2019 Levo with the sensor in the same spot? If so, that would mean the parts should fit so the only question would be the frame clearance...

I used clear Gorilla glue, but any strong glue or epoxy should work fine. There is a lot of surface area for bonding. Put the glue along the edges of the magnet as well for extra strength.

Awesome! I'm glad it's working well. Thanks for the update.

If your order a second one, it should automatically be the newer design. If you'd like just the planetary gear to update your current LSS then I could upload that as a separate product. Actually, once I get feedback from a few people that everything is ok with the design and it's working I can...
