The rain has arrived - practical advice for the wet and cold.

Have to return the (small) MT500 waterproof pants. I think they've changed the cut or something for the new season. The waist is fine, but the bum and calves are smaller/tighter than the mt500 spray trousers I already have and they seem to ride up too far when bending my knee. I don't think I...

The rain has arrived - practical advice for the wet and cold.

The rain has arrived - practical advice for the wet and cold.

Hi Zimm, I do wash and reproof my jacket and trousers separately with Nickwax wash and spray (perhaps I should try the txdirect wash in or the endura reproofing spray), but I just don't think the endura spray trousers are fully waterproof. I guess the clue is in the names.

The rain has arrived - practical advice for the wet and cold.

Got drenched again today. I think the endura mt500 spray trousers I have need reproofing again. The dwr only seems to last for one or two showers, then the top of my thighs get soaked. Thinking about trying the proper mt500 waterproof ones instead. I've already picked up some thermal base layers...

Help, can't remove micro spline freehub from Rail 7 line comp 30 wheels

Put the cassette back on and use that for leverage? When I first got my dtswiss wheels the microspline hub seemed stuck on there, but i managed to get a plastic pry tool around the edge to lever it off

    Why can't I find an inner tube for 29 - 2.3" and 2.6"?

Are your tyres definitely different? My bike was specified with the same sizes, but came with 2.6 front and back. Specialized do a 29 X 2.4-2.8 tube 03119-0336 https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Specialized-Standard-Tube_2429.htm?sku=652624

    Looking for a good jacket/coat

Thanks for the info. Think I'll keep looking though as I rarely wear a helmet, so might be better with smaller hood.

@EME Did you put invisiframe over the turbo logo by the back wheel? I think this might be the lower seat post sticker.

You need to remove the chainstay protector to fit the invisiframe section. Can you post a picture of the "Lower seat post" sticker?

    Best mini mudguards, UK?

The SicoMTB guard looks good, but you have to remove the lower swing arm on the Levo to fit the bottom half and it leaves a section of the bike unprotected. If you're buying one, get some tape too https://www.emtbforums.com/community/threads/2020-rear-mud-guard.7850/page-3#post-165369

Anyone with Shimano 12 speed - can you test something for me quickly

I can't tell from the video, but the chain is on the correct teeth isn't it? The wider links should be on the wider teeth of the chainring. If they are not, it can make it seem like there is chain suck on brand new hardware.

Sorry EME, I think I may have confused you The ebay link is for a central coast mudguard. Some shops will fit an invisiframe kit, but mine wouldn't, stating they didn't have a clean-room. I did it in my living room with carpeted floors and a nosey cat without any issues. As long as you follow the instructions, clean/degrease the bike beforehand and use the soapy water solution, the...
