I’m 6’2” as well with about a zero ape index.
I tested out a large rail 7 and it felt too small for me. Seated and standing.
The 465 reach is very small for a large these days. I haven’t tried an xl, but I ended up ordering a 2021 rail 9.7 XL. The XL reach is 495 which. My enduro and dh bike’s...
That’s a pretty cheap upgrade for you guys. . The 9.8 is 2650$ more than the 9.7 here in Canada.
Gx and zeb are nice upgrades over the 9.7 model.
I’m debating taking off and selling the 9.7 yari and getting a zeb. Either that or upgrade the yari damper etc.
Yes, 13% is added on top of the purchase price. This harmonized sales tax (hst) is compromised of both provincial and national taxes.
I was lucky enough to get hooked up pretty nicely by my dealer though
it seem the volt/raw carbon colour was a 2020 model for you guys, whereas its a 2021 colour for us Canadians.
The 2021 9.7 has 4 colours listed on the Canada website; the volt/raw carbon being the cheaper colour at $8,499 vs $9,149 for the other 3 colours. I was originally looking at the rail...
2021 rail 9.7 XL raw carbon/volt ordered.
I like how the 2021 model has the Kiox whereas the 2020 model has Purion. Same price as well.
Dealer site shows October delivery. I’m in Ontario, Canada btw.
Jealous of those of you across the pond who have already received your 2021 models.
Thinking about ordering the 2021 rail 9.7 XL in the raw carbon/volt colour.
And this is what my build will probably look like in the end.
-cushcore f/r
-front tire: DHF 2.5WT DD 3c maxxterra
-rear tire: aggressor 2.5WT DD dual compound
-charger 2.1rc2 damper with SKF seals (now basically a Lyrik...
My concern is that the seat will not be low enough as i like. A possible upgrade is the one up v2 dropper with a low collar height.
My old knolly delirium had a 515mm seat tube length (vs 500 on the XL rail) and it got in the way quite a bit.
What dropper post/length do you have?
Chatted with trek Canada online; 2021 models won’t be available til around January.
They also confirmed the 2021 model comes wth all 2021 components.
Hmm. To get the yellow/teal 2020 model now or wait for 2021 red/black
Most models are up on trek Canada site as well now.
Is there by chance a product code on the fork? It might be on the back side of the lowers right below the stanchions.
I’d be all over the rail 9.7 if it came with shimano instead of eagle.
Also, anyone with an XL frame able to comment on the...
I noticed the 2020 and 2021 trek rail 7 models have different brakes (MT520 vs m6120). This is as per trek Canada site for 2020 model and blazing bikes for 2021 model. Is this accurate?
Does the 2021 model have all 2021 components? For example I know the 2021 yari has an updated air spring.
That's very helpful, thanks!
If i get bike i think i'll order the invisiframe.
Ridewrap here in Canada was on option but they only have size L kits available (I'm XL).
I'm 6'2" (188cm) and test rode a large rail 7. It was unfortunately too small for me. My recent enduro and DH bikes are 488/490mm reach, so the rail's 465 felt considerably short in pretty much all aspects (climbing, flat pedaling, dh,). I'm sure an XL would be less playful though.
I'm...
This is what I was told through pm from commencal on another major forum.
“we will unveil our 2021 META POWER August 31st.
The major difference will come from the Shimano system. No major modifications in the geo.”
I don't have any experience with the Levo.
The BC PP A50 is on my short list. I think the extra travel of the BC edition would be useful.
I'm 6'2" and looking at the XL. The geo on the BC edition at least seems a bit dated; slack ST, steep HT, high STL and standover.
Do you have any more info on...
