I had this a couple of times on my Gen1. It also occasionally switched down a level. A software upgrade appeared to fix that thought could have just have been a bit of moisture I guess. With this hot weather it’s unlikely to be moisture at the moment! Great to hear the bike is as good as hoped...

Good to hear!! Have you found any negatives? I have settled on a frame build in the end. Finances dictated it. I have all the parts, just await the frameset which should be here within two weeks

I think the Gen 2 SL is the best option for now. Not as silent as the TQ but the range extender makes it very useable for longer rides. I also think the Mastermind is the best system. I’ve always said that the Gen 1 motor noise didn’t really bother me so the Gen 2 will at least be noticeably...

Good review. On the MTBR video review you could hear that the Trek was quieter but that is the benchmark for noise currently. The positive for the Gen 2 is that it’s quieter than the old one and the Mahle is widely regarded as the most reliable out there(not perfect but the best so far) MTBR...

The Roval carbon wheels are fantastic. Been riding them for 12 years and not a single issue. Give a lovely riding feel too. I’ve tried others including Enve and DT Swiss. Always came back. Nice to choose which brakes/bars/stem etc though. Need to see if I can find the cash for the new AXS though😅

I agree, it’s is good value. Can be built up for a fair bit less than S-Works retail price, even with the same/as good components. Shame it’s the dull colour but it’s not offensive. Looks like I’m going this route now as opposed to the White/Silver complete build. I’ll change the decals though...

For longer rides buy a range extender giving 480wh. Keeps the weight light and not adding too much with the extender when required.

I believe that Specialized share all of their graphics and colours with Silk so that you can get what you need made up.

I’ve had that before when using the RE first, I read that it’s normal to that and you have to Unplug/change the setting to get the full power back

Out of interest. Is the new motor on the SL quieter than the Brose on your FF? A few reviews have suggested that it is but would be interesting to hear from someone who has one of each.

Well, it’s decision time for me. I have a buyer for my Gen 1 S-Works and put a pre-order in for the White Gen 2 S-Works. It sounds like everyone really likes the Gen 2 and the upgrades/changes are significant enough. Anyone who thinks it’s a bad idea please chime in😂
