Good stuff Shane :) Lots of long rides coming up for you soon hey :)
My latest mod is a Wolf Tooth 36T chainring. Feels great; but I'll have to see if the bike is low-geared enough for some steep stuff.
Hey Al, glad you enjoyed it. I know the videos aren't particularly exciting and tend to run a bit long . . . but I like to make fairly complete records of my rides, so that when I'm old age I can look back at these and relive some of the adventures I'm having now.
Yep, the EVOC pack is top...
I looked into possibilities, but didn't find anything that would enable me to carry a battery on the bike, short of putting on a rear rack. The EVOC is very comfortable though, and I'm happy to use it for spare battery transport. I'm also considering a range-extender device that can be installed...
Thx Donnie :) Yeah it probably should be a Levo, but that was the best the 'Free Clipart' page had . . . I don't have the graphic design skillz to draw up a decent Levo silhouette.......
Ooooooh Ryder, you have a sexy new girlfriend? Please let us know your impressions of the motor ASAP. I'm fascinated by the Fazua system and reckon it would be a great option for an EMTB, especially since the battery is so very compact.
Steve, sorry for this late reply I haven't checked in on my own thread for a while!!! This is in a region of Western Victoria - approximately 3 hours to the north west of Melbourne. Most of my rides are in and around the Grampians National Park : grampians national park - Google Search
Hey guys - I just put together an edit of my recent ride with a modified EVOC E-Ride backpack. Super-dooper backpack, very comfy and the modified battery compartment works incredibly well.
Exciting times! One of my good friends is just about to purchase her first EMTB and she's just tried out a FSR Comp Carbon (2018). There are very few 2018's left in Australia . . . and her LBS indicated that the new models wouldn't be dropping here until around December. She's very likely just...
Looks absolutely lovey! My sister has just returned from visiting Finland, the scenery in her photos looked spectacular. I too find the Levo a great substitute for moto. I still ride a 2-stroke Beta 300, but I have only put in a small number of hours on it since I got the EMTB.
Part of me is relieved, part of me disappointed. I have recently purchased a second 504Wh battery, and I would have had some buyers regret had Specialized released a bigger one . . . but I would have also been excited for the prospect of more storage, especially if a new battery was backwards...
I'm unsure; I've only done a few day rides since installation. It's winter here, and the past few weeks have been cold, miserable and rainy. I'm not that inspired to ride at night at the moment, even with the new light. I have had the light running on daytime mode and I haven't noticed any...
Yeah good point - I'm just not sure what's too tight with a chain. I haven't taken it for a spin today, but I have moved up and down through the gears and it shifts sweet and in the big cog there is still a bit of flex in the chain, I think it could be OK as is.
I asked in the other thread, have people kept the same chain length - stock was 116 links. I have just put on a Wolf Tooth 36T chainring, and I'm not sure if I should fit up a longer chain. I have a full length 118 link chain that I could use. Any advice?
I hope you didn't swap the motor just to get the improved speed . . . BLEvo is just a software slider for derestriction, to me a much easier option than a full motor replacement ;)
Having a 3rd party app like BLEvo is a godsend. I didn't honestly consider it prior to my Levo purchase, but I'm damn glad I got a bike that has a bit of software like this. My partner rides a Merida with the Steps system, and she's always very envious of the data fields I have on hand, and the...
