I am assuming that the fork is the Factory non ebike version, going by what you have specified in your description. If I am correct , how is the fork flex?
I have just put the 2nd largest volume spacer in my stock DPS shock and am now not blowing through the travel, but still using about 95% of it. It now ramps up the stiffness towards the end of the travel very quickly.
I went through the same thing with saddles a little while ago, trying all of the major brands styles and sizes, ended up settling on a Bontrager Montrose Comp saddle in large.
I have found that most bike shops will always sell you a smaller size than you actually need. I have been told many times to get a medium or medium/large and yet a large is what I ride, I even had an extra large at one point
I have had numerous and still own Trek bikes, and loved them all, but I bought the Focus. Why - The Focus is better value, you get better components for your $$$
ESI grips are around the $40 AUD mark here in Australia
For the same price I have switched to Wolftooth Fat Paw grips - a bit thicker, but also more durable
They also do an XL (Mega) version which are 160mm long
Your Fox ebike options will be - Fox 36 up to 160mm travel - 44 & 51mm offset. Fox 38 is 170mm travel upwards with 44mm offset only.
36 is available in Performance and Factory versions while the 38 is Factory only.
Just measured the standard shock and at the widest point it is 53mm, the X2 has a measurement of 57mm. Just need to see if there is enough room to fit it in. I think it will work
That's what I am trying to find out, thought it should not be too much of a problem as there is no additional can sticking forward at the bottom as per DPX2
I love it, just need to make more mods - blowing through rear travel very easily.
current mods - 36 tooth chainring, XT shifter, 35mm stem with 35mm rise bars, Wolftooth Fat Paw XL grips, Bontrager Montrose saddle (had it on my Trek and loved it), One-Up 170mm dropper with PNW lever, Maxxis DHF...
I have found that the standard fork has a little bit too much flex.
Also the fork spec on the Focus site is misleading as in one spot it says 46mm offset and in another it is 51mm
The stock Fox 34 fork on my 2020 Jam2 Plus is 29" 51mm offset.
You can confirm your fork details on the ridefox website
