That mess is the reason I'd not buy anything than Specialized with full Garmin support, as I want rider power to use for my training planning.
Garmins supports ANT+ and BLE.
Bosch has no BLE, just BT?
With BLE<>BLE you'd not need to care for pairing I think.
I would maybe look into trying to...
My <500Km old Gen3 Levo Motor started to make queaky sounds again, like all the 5 or 6 before him did at some point.
Just now for the first time it was finally out of guarantee. Living close to the Spanish partner of the eBike Motor Center I brought the bike to them and they diagnosed some worn...
I just run out of my 2y guarantee and luckly got a motor replacement few days before.
As I got the Gen3 right after release I am probably on the forefront of this.
But maybe there are already some who had an engine failure after being out of guarantee.
What did you do?
Bikeshop replaced it...
I got Enduro, E-Enduro, Gravel, XC, Dirt and use them all regularly. If I would need to sell one it would be the XC as the overlap in my use with the Gravel and Enduro is the biggest. But I wont :)
It might be that its a matter of getting used to. If you have the choice, you try the heavy bike once, doesn't work like the light one, you leave it there. Maybe with a bit of consistet work it would get better. Good point!
I had the same thoughts, which is merging my Stumpi Evo and Levo to a Levo SL. I live around costa Brava with lots of mid sized mountain ranges. Climbs can be steep, but usually have a pleasent surface. Most of the time I am on the Stumpi and I leave the Levo for weekends when I have time to go...
But snake bites are not punctures. A puncture is something sharp or pointy driving a hole in the tire, often a piece of rock. An insert can't do anything about that unfortunately.
My eSoria isn't any louder than my oehlins or X2. If it makes a donkey like noise during compression its usually dirt between coil and plate, just turn it a bit. For any other noise it needs service.
Since first batches there were multiple rolling updates from the manufacturer improving...
Oh shit! I run my bike on the roof into a parking lot top barrier already, but I would equally never have thought of that trap. Thanks for the warning!
My advice in case you have little experience with suspension and no one to help out: Get a shockwiz device and dial it in with that. Start with back, then front, then back again.
Cheaper suspension often misses setting options (HSC, LSC, HSR, LSR, pressure, tokens, HBO) so you might end up not...
Got my Expert with X2 2y ago. The shock blew up immediately, got serviced, blew up again and I went with coil shocks from this point on.
Now recently 1 week before and of guarantee a new engine was due (lucky me) and I took the chance to ask them to deal with the X2 on the way, not expecting...
@p3eps & @Mondfuchs Thank your exstensive descriptions! It pretty much confirms what I expected, thats its not yet 100% there to resemble an accoustic bike in a blind test.
I just can say it for the normal Levo. That has 10/10 as its minimal assist setting and with that is stronger as the Stumpy...
Could anyone compare how the new SL rides with motor OFF on the UPHILL (10..15%) compared to the Stumpi Evo or a similar analog bike using SIMILAR tires?
Would you recommend using the bike to replace a stumpi EVO to ride it mostly OFF with the exception of steeper and/or technical climbs?
when my estoria clunked they upgraded half of the shock, seal head and all kind of internals. compared to its initial release I think the thing got heavily revised. talk to your dealer ans assure he follows all upgrade advice given by ext.
Got the EXT and the Oehlins. Respect to everyone who rides good enough to be faster with any of the two or who can feel any difference at all. Given the same coil, they are interachangable between the two shocks.
