i will probably buy an sls light spring directly , but it will only be to keep the weight down a bit and not feel the little bump resisting.
I have checked on tftuneds spring calc so i know a little bit what spring i probably need.
I have a 36 Float Factory GRIP2 fork so probably as you say a dpx2 would be best to get a balanced bike.
I think a dpx2 suits me better as you don't want a damping that kills the trail and makes everything feel like riding on a dirt road.
thanks for the offer to borrow one and test, I have 230...
Hey!
Have started to think a bit about coil and it is between dhx2 and TTX22m.2.

have read that the dhx2 should feel a bit harsh and is a bit difficult to get the settings right.
At the same time, if you check e.g. EWS and world cup, most of them use dphx2 over öhlins.

It was somewhat the same feeling I had when I first ride after I had put in my cushcore pro.
It didn't feel like it went that fast, but then when I got home, strava showed that I had faster times than usual.
Just like peteandsoo writes, you can change to grippier tires, i use assegai and yes they are awesome. and then tubeless is better beacuse you can have lower pressure.
my friend broke the chain stay on his 5 week old rise
orbea didn't take it under warranty either but offered him to buy a new chainstay where he got a 20% discount.
The funny think is that he didt ride it hard , he was riding gravel and fireroad to his work and it snapped.
if you are going to use inserts, I would take one with maxxtera exo casing.
If you are not going to ride with inserts, I would choose a DD casing at the front and a maxxtera at the rear
when my chain broke and I visited a shimano center to buy a new one, the shimano technician recommended a kmc chain for e-bikes as they apparently last better than the shimano e-bike chains.
I understand that you are cold now that you are used to it being 40 degrees outside :D
nahh here in Sweden it's summer for quite a while longer.
you Canadians don't even have summer :D, it's like winter more than half the year ;)
Locking a bicycle with a chain in a holder in the floor is unfortunately no match for a thief to pick up.
a cheap angle grinder take 4 minutes to cut a thic chain.
I'd say if you do a lot of park or enduro riding it's worth it.
I run cushcore in both front and rear tires and at the beginning I thought it felt like the bike was understeering a bit but it was just a matter of habit.
