2.6 DHF 2.4 DHR no inserts on the lighter wheelsets trail stuff (although I do wonder about the rocks I’m hitting!) and 2.4 x2 MM/inserts on the skinwall heavier days for the rougher XC stuff etc, I’ll or having a range extender anyway so given up on weight for these days out
Forestal’s team is great, I love their passion and personality (at least when their dummy isnt being spat out ?).
It’s a nice prospect if your happy being a beta tester to save 10-20% rather than buy the finished bike in about a year however as more problems are inevitable.
That’s okay if your...
Custom decals/rims added, 4x tubeless setup (bye bye tubes!) 1x light 1x heavy wheelsets. Managed to get the designer to replicate the cracked rise logo.
Went out today using the lightweight wheel set dhf (ltd edition don’t ask!) / dhr2 and it was fab, very predictable and compliant!

I’ve just been reminded that my dropper is way to small for me, I’ll try again to raise it but originally I looked stupid on the bike, I’m 6ft what’s working for other folk?
I’ve 2.6 on the front, I thought max actually was 2.4 on the back, I’m actually changing to 2.4 / 2.4 mainly as I’m trying skinwall tyres nexts just for the look of them more than anything!

About the only place these can be bought (skin wall at least) but some favourable reviews) I know a...
There is a big difference between monster truck tyres, coil or air…..the dissector/rekon with the air is the lightest combo and very playful, on rock gardens this combo felt easier to man handle or correct errors but the heavy MM/BB coil combo doesnt, the lines need to be picked a little better...
Sorry meant to say only need 0.1k to notice the difference ??
I mean I could keep the air and try more but I don’t need any better/different to what’s happening, maybe an e pensive placebo ?
I threw the new bike down most of the trails at Forest of Dean and it just soaked everything up, I seriously doubt I’ll switch back to air or even bother giving it more time, I’m really happy with the traction and way isn’t phased by roots and handles drops just fine. The lok function is nice...
at 30 secs in I hit that rock drop thingy it’s defo one you do a couple runs upto. That little rock turn you walked down is also daunting at first too….I love this place!
I’ll give my garmin fenix 6 and the Apple Watch a go next……I can’t for the life of me imagine using garmin for helping pick out trails at big places, Trailforks is king of trail hunting I’m finding so atm Im having to use my phone way too often and next best thing would be the Karoo 2 but sound...
A mate of mine swears by this although I’d seen a few reports it’s not cracking on multiple sequential
hits and it stands out a bit like you might expect the rider to be a master sender or something…..then there would be me! ? but that said it’s a cheap way to go about it if it’s working, what’s...
