**** UPDATE: @Specialized Rider Care was correct. It was just a firmware version issue. Took it back to my LBS, and they updated the firmware on the motor. That fixed the issue. Thanks again Specialized!
That's great to hear, thanks for the information! My LBS has been wonderful with everything, so I'm sure it was just an oversight. I'll have them take care of it. Appreciate the response!
Just checked. The motor firmware version is: 7.1.1
* Just for comparison, I checked our other 2020 Levo and it's running 6.1.0 (this one isn't having the issue)
Thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure if this was normal, so I thought I'd get confirmation before going back to our LBS. My LBS has been wonderful to work with. I'll go out shortly and get the firmware version it's running.
We just had a motor replaced under warranty on one of our 2020 Levos (belt failure). We rode it around our block to confirm everything was fine, which it was. However, we found ourselves struggling to turn the bike off. Previously, we would just tap the power button on the TPU (without...
I ended up going with #2, just 2 days ago :) For the price difference, I think the Comp is a much better deal than the base model.
Talk to your dealer, you'd be surprised at the discount you might be able to get. My LBS has no 2020 Levos in stock...they sell out before they hit the floor...
I actually had the Range VLT on my list of e-mtbs, along with the YT Decoy. I was concerned about the Range being too slacker for the riding I do, which is partly why I was leaning more towards the Sight.
In the end, having my LBS as a Specialized dealer and a quieter motor...seemed to push...
Great info, Rob! I'll get some new ones ordered right away. Love your YouTube channel, btw. You're doing a phenomenal job, and are the reason I'm getting into e-mtb.
I pick up my 2020 Levo Comp mid-next week. I have several trips planned immediately with family and friends, and want to get my pedals right before I go.
How are the stock pedals? Are they worth keeping on...or should I chuck them and go with the ones I'm familiar with on my pedal mtb?
Thanks!
I went round and round and round. More people seem to enjoy the brose, and I liked how quiet it was (the one I just test rode, was VERY quiet). 2yr warranty on motor/battery and lifetime on frame...I'm hoping it's reliable. If it's not, I'll enjoy it until the warranty is up and move on to...
Surprised with the number of people preferring the Levo over the Sight. I'm not sure I could deal with the noise and oddities of the Shimano. Thanks everyone for the input. I was nervous to drop this amount of money and make the wrong choice, but it seems pretty obvious which one I should go...
Thanks for the reply! I'm currently 6ft 190lb, but have been dropping about 10lb a week since mtn biking daily. Still have about 20 more to go!
I also ride an Intense Tracer (27.5), which suits my current riding style/terrain. I do think a 29er would do better over most of our local trails...
I've been going round and round between these 2 bikes. Both are comparable, price wise. I think I get more bang for my buck with the Norco, but think I'll prefer the Brose over the STEPS e8000.
What are your thoughts on these two? Which would you rather be riding? Help me decide...
I'm...
