Great to know, thanks! I went ahead and ordered the Jam2 Plus Ltd and maaaybe will get to pick it up tomorrow. It’s the base model, which I hope I won’t regret as some of my test rides were on the more expensive versions. But for my riding I think it’ll be fine, and it’s still a ton of money...
I was paid to sign a non-disclosure agreement after spending an evening with a politician, but I’d like to challenge the non-disclosure agreement in court. Is that also something you can help with?
Thanks, I’ll take a look but I really don’t want to go mail order. I’d like to buy from a friendly local dealer and options are then limited. That’s one reason I’m looking at Focus, but I do also think they’re a great option for my needs.
So I’m edging my way to a decision, going to go to my local dealer again today and just might order the Jam2. It’s going to be a bit of a financial apocalypse but I’ll hopefully forget about that when I’m out riding. Been out on my analogue Cube bike a fair bit the last couple weeks and it has...
I’m looking at that Jam2 as well. I love how it looks and I think the Shimano system is what I want, but I also can’t help but worry a little about the small in-built battery.
Yep true, that's a great point. I think part of my reluctance with the dongles is that I don't trust my ability to contain myself if the bike will assist to 50km/hr. I have a Stromer speed pedelec that goes 45km/hr and it is incredible fun on the road. The power is virtually irresistible...
Here's a question for this naughty section of the forums. :-o
I'm not interested in the dongles that make a 25km/hr bike assist up to 50km/hr. But I would love it if it was possible to flash the US firmware on a bike to have it just go 32km/hr, which seems a more reasonable limit to me. Has...
I’ve looked into the options for de-restricting, but I have no interest in making a 25km/hr emtb do 50km/hr as most of the dongles seem to (I have a legal speed pedelec for when I need to do those kinds of speeds). So when I get my e-mtb I’ll probably just leave it stock. The only thing I wish...
Thanks for all the info! Sounds like you’re quite happy with it? And haha yes that’s a fair callout, there’s not a great need for full suspension on the trails I ride here in the Netherlands. However, I think I do want to go full suspension anyway just for the extra comfort and sheer fun /...
Oops already posted a thread somewhere else before doing an intro. :-P
Hello all, I’m living in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and since buying a small holiday cabin in the Dutch countryside last year I’ve finally been able to get back into mountain biking after 20+ years (I was fanatical in my...
Hey folks, I’m coming back to mountain biking after 20+ years, currently have a hardtail Cube ‘analogue’ bike but seriously considering an electric mountain bike because I’m now old, out of shape and e-bikes are fun. :) I already have a Stromer speed pedelec, which is an amazing machine.
I...
