Really like the look and spec of the new RR carbon 22 model, deciding between this and the new 22 Rail 9.8XT. Any known issues or anything to take into account apart from the battery being fixed ? Im 6’1 so was thinking large would be the one as i want it to be fun and throwable still ……. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

100% agreed ! So difficult as it’s weighing up whats more important….. rig or motor….. the Bullit is so good to be fair it makes the ep8 bearable …

Ask @Rob Rides EMTB what he thought as he has had a 21 Rail for a year and has spent a good few weeks testing the 22 and then ordered him self one after….. 👍

I had / have a similar situation, im 6’1 and went large 21 rail last year , i could ride the bike ok but in truth it felt really cramped especially while seated my knee’s felt so close to the bars but when i rode an XL it was like a boat and felt the complete opposite!! I have ordered a 22 9.8...

The ep8 is a pain in ass to tune as far as i know ….. mines pretty much turned up to max in all settings but still cant stay with tye Bosh unless its down hill

If only the bloody EP8 could match the bosh for power

It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything new regards de-restriction of the EP8 ….. I see Redped and Speedbox now offering plug and play units, has anyone successfully fitted one yet ? Ep8 js a lovely smooth motor but needs more power or speed imo….

Also on the Rockshox coil I’ve ordered the next lighter spring (450) as I can’t get 30% sag as recommended with out having basically zero preload to the point that the collar / nut is barely in contact with the spring when I’m not on the bike
