Well mine has a ridged flap of material over the zip so you cannot see the zip when its closed. I forgot to take it off the bike when I was cleaning it last time and no water got in. Also been out twice in really awful downpours with no noticed ingress.
I can't remember where I got it from...
very similar to mine, but the one I picked up says GIANT on it. was < £10 but cant remember where I found it. Amazing what you can fit in it, got levers, C02 & spare large canister, CB19 multi-tool, tyre boots & patches for the wife's tyres, tubeless plugs and reamer tool for mine. Even found...
the V8s on my other bike do and came with a greasing syringe. Don't think the V6s do, but will check later. (also might swap my old V8s over anyway, love them :-))
Just an update on this review from me. I decided to trust you all and grab 2 of these with the theory that if they weren't bright enough I could use them as helmet lights and get brighter ones for the bars.
At £50 you do NOT get as much as you used to. The pack no longer has the twin...
I need to grab a suitable wrench first :-) I do have a set of pedals there in the spares box so I'll try them once I have a tool. probably tomorrow morning
I'm somewhat ashamed to say I haven't ever really made the effort to learn a lot of bike maintenance skills, better late than never I guess!
As the title suggests I'm experiencing a "popping" sensation, like someone lightly tapping the sole of my shoe with a hammer at the top of each pedal...
@MitchF you and me both! I fitted a dropper to the Stance E+1 as well, bizarrely, and without seeing you did it I have also ordered a Renthal 40mml!
No range anxiety any more, did a 42 mile ride (mostly in mode 1 & 2, with a little 3 near the end) and had 37% battery left afterwards...
I've only owned mine 6 weeks, already done more miles cycling than I did all of 2018-2019! In that time I have passed all sorts of folk from dog walkers to other trail riders and never had a negative word said. I have had a LOT of conversations with strangers, stopped for breaks to chat and...
Hi, yes the 2019 ones are BTLE only (which is how they connect to your phone for the app), but the 2020 ones (at least the one on the reign) have ANT+ as well, which is what Garmin watches etc connect with. Kind of hoping the new 2020 ones will be available to purchase for a reasonable sum.
I...
just read a review of the 2020 Reign E+ models and found this interesting:
"Giant’s handlebar-mounted RideControl ONE unit is now featuring ANT+ compatibility. Many models like Garmin can show the battery level, some even information like remaining range "
Now as an owner of Garmin tech, and...
My bad back is 100% why I opted to try an e-mtb. I have 2 collapsed disks, L4-L5 and L5-S1, on my regular mtb I am usually in agony by the top of the first climb which is about 30 mins or so. I stopped red/black routes altogether and was consigned to just blue grades, even then I had to take...
yup sorry, all I see now is the "Is that a fkn snake?" look. The one of your back matches with "maybe if I just don't look at it..."
Really impressed with the last top, so think this one is a must.
confused by the "legally" bit. I wasn't aware there were any legal restrictions on riding up Scafell Pike, which is the only place in England I know of that's higher. Now the fact that it would be rubbish having a bike at the top of Scafell Pike is another matter!
I think you've probably...
Another great vid Clansey! Looking forward to your presumably very wet video of Glentress. I might have been there the same day, because my clothes were similarly soaked!
Just an update to this. I ordered the XXL based on the comments about ordering a size up for comfort. I'm 6'1" and a little under 93kg (204lbs or roughly 14.5st), 44.5" chest. Normally an L or XL depending on brand.
The XXL fits brilliantly, loose and roomy without being baggy. Really happy...
Well instead of confirmations the top just turned up! Fri-Tues is a good turnaround time! Top seems great, very happy. :-)
Now to go advertise the forums round town :-)
Can anyone who has ordered from the forum shop tell me if there are confirmation emails? I ordered a Jersey on Friday and other than the paypal receipt I've had no messages or anything to indicate if the order was processed or when it might be likely to arrive.
Anyone ordered successfully able...
So thankfully I checked my contents insurance and was unpleasantly surprised to see that expensive pedal bikes are covered on my policy... unless they have a pedal assist motor!
Obviously I am now in the market for Bike only cover (don't want different home contents as well, e.g PedalCover)...
