I really wanted an RSX but couldnt stump the extra coin.....so I bought the S and plan to replace the parts for RSX-esque ones as they fail.
THat said, I have already changed a few bits:
Brakes - Had some Hope Tech 3 E4s on my S150 so swapped over
Saddle - The stock saddle was horrific for me...
@militantmandy further feedback on the Charger 3 damper?
I am considering the upgrade as I want something more 'plush' than it is now....is that a good option?
Thanks
Seems a lighter press, more adjustable (position, bite point) and a more erganomic shape (IMO).....so far so good :)
No they arent cheap.....but they are Hope (and look awesome )
In the process of converting my e160 S into a bespoke e160 RSX.....so this phase is the rear shock (Float X Perf Elite).
Also, swapped the dropper lever out as the stock Whyte is not good for me.....also got the pistons on the Hope E3's upgraded to the latest iteration.....
I found the same thing, but my local bike shop said that they can get the correct size (I've gone for the Float X Performance Elite). They then clarified this be mentioning that its initially a larger shock that gets 'shortened' (dont know how...hacksaw!? :ROFLMAO:) to fit.
For reference, I...
Best of luck mate.
Having had both (well, DVT's rather than PE), I can see neither are pleasant....espcially not injections into your stomach!!
What I can say, I have not had pneumonia again, and my DVT situation has been well managed since 2012, so all is not lost!!
Get well soon ;)
That's what I thought, just wanted to check.
I demo'd an RSX in march and loved the rest shock feel.... So thinking of upgrading my e160s to the Float X 😁
I bought an e160 s after demo'ing the Whyte and a Cratfy at Wheelbase in MArch.
Main reason was the Whyte felt more balanced whereas the Crafy felt a little 'front heavy'.....
Can't remember the brand, but they included straps with the holder.
This was my first (poor) attempt, I have since moved it closer to the seat tube and it seems to work ok.
This is just for when I'm having a quick local spin out ... Still use the bladder for proper rides
I'm a touch under 6'2, and have had 2 previous Whyte bikes in size large.
I demo'd an RSX in large and it felt small, so when I ordered my S, I got an XL and it's a great fit (for me at least).
Hope this helps....
