RC would be the brand to make me brake my Five Ten monopoly on ride shoes....
....still weighing them up but they look promising, have two styles of high tops and two levels of sole grip to choose from
If your bike came set up anything like mine you'll find the upper limit of tokens (4) already installed.
Add 5 psi and go for a ride, maybe add compression too, and see if anything improves. More longer term 170, damper and risers may all be worth trying to see if it suits you.
I've shortened my shifter and dropper also, but have yet to do the brakes. Still looks like a mess frankly, and is work ongoing
I've taken some of the slack of the mode selector cable and looped it around the stem which is prob the tidiest thing so far.
I can't answer everything, hopefully someone else will chime in but:
Leave the Foam
Levers are ambidextrous so can be swapped one side to the other, brake hose shortening will require a bleed, hence why I've only done my dropper and shifter cables so far :)
Congrats (y)
They ship from the UK, possibly Europe I believe. You pay in dollars on their site, but you select where you are and they ship locally. Had mine in a few days with no customs charges or anything to worry about.
My 31.8mm Enve Minar bar has been following me around on my clockwork bikes for the past few years and it is good. As soon as I rode my EMTB I knew the alloy bar had to go. It is a 35mm though so went for a One Up bar this time, comparisons suggest it should be even better at damping those vibes.
So still being muddy round here I needed to take action and fitted some mudguards to stop this happening as much
Mudhugger Shorty on the front and a generic job trimmed for chain clearance on the rear
Much improved (y)
Swapped out the white DHF maxx terra for yellow maxx grip and fitted One...
Garden hose with a bit of hand scooping to get the most stubborn leafy chunks out. Seems to do the trick, and a damn good lube job on the chain afterward.
Yeah, well....I'm still in need of a rear solution :ROFLMAO:
I've ordered something pretty generic to try, might need some triming, but my bike should thank me.
So I have had wind that a few local jump trails to me may be under threat by the local council. Probably the closest to me that offer decent progression which is a shame. I believe they are focusing a handful of lines that are fun to session yet can be linked into a larger loop. Warley Gap...
Well its lucky I took a quick spin tonight then :)
Only a handful of miles on pretty tame trails so far. They are a little warmer compared to the Dexter but not by masses. Dexterity-wise the thickness on the palm is the same if not thinner than the Endura which does have small gel pads in...
I've been using the Endura Dexter for the last few winter seasons. They are windproof but not waterproof. Also quite thin so the feel is pretty good. I think since getting an emtb I've been more willing to go out in colder conditions and they have been showing they are not quite up to the the...
The label on the battery recommends charging every three months even when not in use. No mention of what kind of charge, but aim for 3 solid LED's as a storage charge. My battery always lives inside the house when not using the bike regardless of outside weather conditions (y)
