Trek Powerfly LT 9.7 vs Specialized Turbo Levo comp carbon

Brose is arguably the best motor at the moment (ie quiet, responsive, very little drag after cutoff). Bosch has new motor on the horizon. 2019 Levo feels like you are more in the bike instead of on top. Also has shorter stays so it is more agile in the tight stuff. The Carbon frames on either...

    S Works

My guess would be the most weight savings from Comp to S-Works would be the carbon rear swingarm and Roval carbon wheels. I would check with your shop to see about extending your current 36 to 160mm. Should be doable for under $100 with air shaft swap

Resale value for Specialized vs Consumer direct bikes?

I believe Specialized has a 2 year transferable warranty (from original date of purchase) for 2nd owner. That has got to be a plus when buying used

Survey: does the emtb make you a more adventurous rider

Definitely climbing hills that I would cough-up a lung on a normal bike.

Are the Turbo Levo 2017 and 2018 the same?

2018 I believe has 165mm crank arms (helped somewhat with pedal strikes)

    Levo 2018 or 19?

As promised a little comparison from my ride yesterday on the new 2019 Levo FSR Base and my prior 2018 Levo FSR Base. About me 52 years old, 5"7.5" with shorter inseam 29" (171.45 cm/73.66cm for my friends across the pond and up north) 185 lbs (83.91 kg). Not a pro rider by any stretch of the...

    Levo 2018 or 19?

The 2018 Levo Base definitely addressed some of the issues the 2017 had (motor cutting out/stalling on steep climbs, clunky shifting, longer travel fork 140 to 150mm and shorter165mm cranks to cut down on pedal strikes). So the switch from 2017 to 2018 was very noticeable and the 2018 is a very...

Anybody have any time on the 2019 Giant Stance E+

Everything I have read says Pro Motor is spline and Sport Motor is square taper. It would be awesome if it was spline but don't have a bike within a 120 miles to check in person.

    Levo head stock creak

My 18 Levo FSR base develops a creak about halfway into each ride. I was going to replace the plastic stem spacers with alloy but reading this I bet it is the bearings. It is dead quiet until 30-45 minutes in. When pulling up on the bar it will creak. Kind of annoying because the bike otherwise...
