Not sure,it's not heavy being some kind of plastic, they are nicely made and came with all bolts etc but it did take a bit of buggering about with because its actually for a Merida 160

I think it looks much better without the cable ties
Stock one is ok and fairly cheap, I have also used one of these
Vitus E-Sommet 2018-19

All the major motor manufacturers need to get the issue of reliability sorted ,my E8000 motor lasted 18 months and 1600 miles before I got the dreaded EO10 error code, 2 guys I ride with have a Levo and a Kenevo both have had new motors and one has had a new battery, there is simply no excuse...

So the new Heckler is too heavy, it's wheels aren't big enough and to top it all off it doesn't have a motor that might not even exist, oh and it's too expensive, this guy liked it anyway
[First Ride] Santa Cruz Heckler e-MTB
Can't really see the point in a carbon framed ebike given the small savings in weight and high cost of production, unless of course you go down the route of using a lighter motor and battery like Specialized and Lapierre have done, I wouldn't be surprised if Santa Cruz didn't bring out an alloy...

I don't think Shimano have designed the motor with servicing/replacing parts as something a shop will be able to do, I think that at the moment it's been viewed as a disposable part which to my mind is madness, hopefully there will be enough people with motors that need repairing/servicing that...
My Esommet as succumbed to the dreaded EO10 error code, bike is with my LBS who hopefully will pbe able to deal directly with Madison, owner of the shop did say that the current version of the etube software is hopeless at diagnosing faults and that Shimano are bringing out an updated version...
I often ride where there is a lot of loose rocks getting thrown up by the front wheel, I have damage to both sides of my Shimano motor from this and also to the cranks, if the rockguardz was a bit thicker and slightly wider it would probably be ok but as it is I don't think in the long term it...
