I had something similar happen earlier this spring. It turned out to be the cassette hub. A little bit of cleaning and lube and the creaking under load went away.
Just had my scaphoid screwed back together so I'll still be in a cast for many weeks. But I just picked up one of these Mobius X8 wrist braces for after it comes off. Tried it out on my other wrist and the engineering is simply amazing. Lots of adjustability and support but works with gloves...
Love these super lightweight Patagonia Dirt Roamers with a liner for on the bike and without for hiking. The pocket is perfect for my phone and doesn't rub when pedaling or walking. Note that I'm more of an XC kind of guy rather than full gear downhill/bike-park stuff.
A fellow rider turned me on to these (Park Tool TB-2). Note that the description says "tubed tire" so probably won't work with tubeless goo. I never go on long rides without them, they don't weigh hardly anything or take up much space but I do bring a tube in case I need to use one.
I regularly fit my large frame Levo with both wheels on in our Prius. Have to lower the seat and it's easier to load and unload with one pedal removed. When it's even a little muddy I think harder about adding a hitch and getting a 1up rack though.
A week or so ago I had a repetitive creak that only happened when I was pedaling (standing or seated). My first paranoid thought was the motor (yikes!). However, it turned out to be the cassette hub. Clean and lub and all is fine again. :) Usually for me it's the seatpost like Supratad...
You might also double check the distance between the jockey wheels and the cassette cogs at both the largest and smallest gear. It's a separate adjustment screw from the the low/high screws, and could easily be off if the new jockey wheels don't happen to be exactly the same diameter as the...
Specialized Contour XC. Wanted a little platform for wrist support. Thought about Ergon but liked the "tackiness" and reported durability of these. I think I would have been happy with either though.
That sounds similar to the head of our local mountain bike organization (CBMBA). We have over 750 miles of local trails, many of which are in US designated Wilderness areas (no bikes of any kind) or have hard won easements that predated even the concept of an eMTB. Additionally he is concerned...
I looked for direct link to this study but couldn't find one, so hopefully it's ok to attach it here. At the very end (after the references) are a list of comments collected which it seems are relevant to this thread.
Yep. That's pretty much what it feels like to me with the FF. I swear it's like it's applying the brakes. It would be nice if the rules allowed for it to still apply just the minimum assistance to offset the drug of the drive so it basically felt like a clockwork bike above the limit, but I...
Really no offense intended to anyone, but I had to chuckle at the thought of the OP's SO hitting that table or any similar park style features ;)
Putting my wife in those shoes there is no way she would ever even want to ever attempt those kinds things. XC style riding with the tires firmly on...
I ran a 220 MDR P on the front all last summer and was very happy. That and some Kevlar pads completely transformed the Guide RE's in a good way. For my weight and riding there was no need to go large on the back. Note that the Magura's are significantly thicker than the stock SRAM rotors so...
I just upgraded the Debonair from the stock 2020 Levo Comp 150mm to the new version 160mm and decided to switch the flip chip to high at the same time. Since it's full on winter here I've only had a chance to do one short ride but the steering feels similar to the 150mm/low. However, the...
Since this is an eMTB forum thinking electric seems appropriate. This thread on one of the Rivian forums was talking about using their truck variant (R1T) to haul bikes.
