I bought these for that exact reason. They’re specific Allen bolt removers for when the heads get slightly rounded.
I was looking at thePark Tools THH-1 Allen key set the other day, and they have these fitted to one end.
I think you need to try and get the broken drill bit out, and then use...
My local Specialized dealer didn’t know anything about the Levo SL 1.2… other than the photos, screenshots, and specs I kept sending them.
The Kenevo SL 1.2 must be due imminently since they’ve taken the original off their website. There were some leaked screenshots a while back.
No way I'd be paying £3000+ for a bike for an 8 year old. She'd probably leave it lying outside the shop and someone would nick it! Lazy enough as it is... having a motor would encourage it!
Given the prices Kenevo SL's are selling for now, you might actually be cheaper (although not easier) buying the kids SL and doing the mod. I imagine the Kenevo SL 1.2 will be around £8k for the Comp when they eventually announce it.
Just now you're getting a kids SL for £3500 RRP, and can get...
The way I did this using a non branded ‘SRAM barb’ was…
Disconnect the hose at the caliper, and chop the connector off. You now have a bare hose end.
Screw the SRAM barb into it.
Screw the new hose (lever end) into the other side of the SRAM barb (remove any existing ferrules etc if...
In Aberdeen (Scotland) this weekend we have a yellow weather warning alert for heavy rain / flooding. It has chucked it down for about 40 hours non stop - with rivers bursting their banks, cars getting stuck in flooded roads etc.
My Levo SL currently has no wheels and no fork, so I took my...
Some new rubber. I asked my LBS to order me a couple of Specialized Cannibal's since I have a gift voucher, and everyone is saying how good they are in wet gloopy conditions. I didn't hear from them for a few days... and then Tweeks sent me an email with 40% off Michelin tyres. I've had...
Thanks! I guess that's why I don't have them on the rear, as my mounts are parallel to my brake.
I'll order some anyway - won't do any harm to have them.
I’m mainly a solo rider, so the SL works fine for me. I occasionally have friends on analogue bikes - where I’d either take my Stumpy, or sometimes one of them is using my stumpy, so I dial the SL down to 5/5 (which covers extra weight / motor resistance).
I ride with my kids on the SL… but...
I have them on the front, but not on the rear. I had a look on google at manufacturers stock photos and most have them on the rear.
I did wonder if they were only a requirement if you had a post mount adapter for your brakes though - which was maybe why I don’t have them at the rear?
Random question...
Does anyone have conical washers on their rear brakes?
For the last 3 years I've just had standard bolts with a washer straight through the brake and into the frame. I don't have any postmount adapter on the rear (180mm rotors) but have never had an issue. The bolts were...
I haven't been up there for a couple of years, but I put a 20ish mile route in my Garmin and was all set to go up last Sunday. My wife decided to come in at about 1am, wake me up, and for some bizarre reason thought I wanted to hear all about her night. By the time she'd finished, I was wide...
That’s what I thought when I read it too. They’re selling brand new for half price just now. I had the same thing selling my Levo SL - Spesh had reduced them all to half price, so my second hand one was worth nothing!
I've got a Super Deluxe Ultimate on mine, with a custom tune from J-Tech... and the difference between that and the Float X is night and day. The SDU was on my LSL 1.1 for about 3 years, and I had it re-tuned for the LSL 1.2. I also have a MegNeg on it.
It all comes down to you, and what you feel... but I'll give you a quick summary of my circumstances.
I'm 45, rode a lot as a kid... and when I was 17 I got a car, girls, nights out etc - and my bike sat in the shed for years unloved and untouched! At about 32, I went cycling with my father...
I haven’t yet. Have you used them before?
I ordered Industry Nine wheel graphics from Slik since they’re the ‘official partner’, and they’ve been shipped within a few days. They must fulfill orders - just have no interest in answering emails / requests!!
