SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I got my DP C245 v3 from Linda. @thaeber These are almost exactly the same settings I used. My initial stock settings felt ok. But I wanted the motor to assist earlier, there was a delay before the motor assisted. Changing the angle startup to 0 solved this problem.

Bafang GO is useless. You need Bafang GO+ app. But it currently only works with DP C245 v3 (MUST be v3) This will allow you to tune your motor. It wont set wheel size and max speed. You can look at the screenshots on the app-stores I don't have BESST, so I can't help.

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

    2.6kg for 720Wh battery? That's super light

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

It's the battery. 2.6kg for 720Wh battery is super light. Presumably its a softpack?

Do you have Bafang GO+ app to tune your motor? or BESST tool?

if you run 29" on the rear with 210x55, remember to check clearance on full compression. I don't remember hearing anyone running this combo.

Look on the bright side. Now you can justify an upgrade to UDH chainstay (y)

Battle of the M820 lightweights. Questions / comparisons regarding CEF50 vs LCE930.

I think you missed the point. CEF50 is currently the only M820 frame that can take a 720Wh battery. It doesn't mean you have to use a 720Wh battery.

I'm curious, can you tell us why you think this?

I have the inhouse battery. I have a separate power button on the top tube. This turns on just the battery. To turn on the motor I need to power up the display. So for me it's a 2 step process. I suspect if using a Bafang battery, you only need to power everything on using the the display. 1...

I thought carbon would be nice, but thinking about it, probably not a good idea. Imagine smashing carbon onto rocks yikes! I agree, a softer plastic like nylon? would work much better. I was think to use a thermoforming plastic like Kydex? Also, I think the current guard hangs down too low. I...

I don't have BESST tool or GO+ display. So I'm just guessing. From what I can see, the GO+ app is a cut down version of the BESST tool, an end user version. If you read the BESST tool user manual, you can see the corresponding settings and descriptions to the GO+ app. I think it should help...

My guess... the settings of a lower mode cannot be higher than the settings in higher mode. i.e if Mode 4 has 65% then Mode 3 cannot exceed 65%

I had the same issue. a very small 0.2mm epoxy/carbon ridge a few cm above the charge port. I carefully used a long rounded file. took a few seconds. very easy fix in the end. I have to say, the insert length on this frame is very impressive. Not being able to slam the seatpost down would...
