If you had the number of motors sold and number that failed, that would be a good start. From there you could factor in miles ridden between failures to refine the data a bit. Asking a professional motor technician or counting posts on a forum isn't helpful. If Brand A sells 1,000,000 motors and...
Took my rear wheel back to my LBS for the 4th time today with another broken spoke. This time I asked them to submit a warranty claim with Specialized. Hopefully they will replace the wheel and I can ride the bike for longer than two days without breaking more spokes.
I've had my 2021 Levo Comp for one month and six spokes have broken! I've had to pay for each repair at $45US each time. No branches where I ride. It's all desert.
I bought a 2021 Levo Comp about a month ago. Since then, I've had six broken spokes on the rear wheel. My bike has Roval alloy wheels and DT Swiss spokes.
I rode my last bike (Stumpjumper Pro with carbon wheels) MUCH harder and only broke one spoke in four years with hundreds of rides.
I've...
The only gripe I have with my 2021 Comp is the brakes. Good modulation but they howl LOUDLY. Every 3-4 rides I have to remove the pads, sand them down and clean with brake fluid. I do the same with the rotors. After doing that, they work great for another 3-4 rides. I did bed the brakes when new...
I have a 2021 Levo Comp with the 29" Roval alloy rims. I noticed today that one of my spokes is broken on the rear wheel. Normally I would take my wheel to my LBS to get it repaired as I've never done this myself but all the bike shops in my area (Palm Springs, CA USA) are 2-3 weeks out on...
I didn't know you could get the 2021 Comp in black. It's not shown on the U.S. web site anyway. I would have picked that color if it was available although I actually like the Oak Green much better than I expected.
Hah! Yeah, the Specialized Levo isn't cheap. They are overpriced and under spec'd. But, I rode my Stumpjumper HARD for four years and had no problems with it. Just typical maintenance items. That reliability has made me partial to Specialized. Plus the Levo seems to win every shootout. I just...
It's my own fault for selling my analog bike before looking for an e-bike. I had no idea e-bikes would be hard to find. I'm also interested in a Levo. If I can find an S-Works Levo in XL before the Decoy arrives, I'll buy it.
I actually ordered the Decoy Elite a couple days before the EP8 was announced. I cancelled the order and looked for EP8 bikes. Couldn't find anything available so I reordered the YT. I sold my daily ride Stumpjumper not knowing that e-Bikes are like unicorns. Now I'm sitting here getting fat...
My problem right now is availability of e-bikes. I rented a Levo a month ago and liked it so much I sold my Stumpjumper and started shopping for a Levo. Bad mistake as nobody has any of the models I want in stock in my size. I checked out the Decoy Elite and you get top shelf components for half...
I ordered a YT Decoy Elite three weeks ago. It seems some people are concerned about having to send their bikes back to YT for service. Wouldn't any bike shop work on a YT bike for anything other than the frame? Everything else on the bike is supplied by a 3rd party that all manufacturers use.
