What did you buy your ebike this week?

Oh look: they've moulded to the shape of your foot. How clever! ?

    Broken Button On Handlebar Controller

That's cheap. They're UK delivery only, which isn't a lot of good for us, but it is does give us a good target price to try to match.

Unanswered Tubeless setup leaking from wheel/spoke.

Damage to the outside of the rim won't affect your tubeless seal, which is formed by the rubber end base of the valve plugging the hole on the inside of the rim. Make sure you very thoroughly clean the rim after removing the old tape before you add your new tape. If the valve leaks at the...

    Broken Button On Handlebar Controller

No, he's still not managed to find a replacement button. I suggested finding someone with a 3D printer to make him one (mirror image of the surviving button) but he wasn't that keen. When I rode out with him last week he was talking about biting the bullet and buying a whole new unit.

    Clothing cost

I agree with you there. I was going to order them online but our local Decathlon opened up on Monday so I went to see them first. The quality was dreadful so I ended up buying two pairs of the ST900 instead.

    Bosch CX4 Motor Cover

Careful: I think you'll find those are only Gen 2 and Gen 3 covers. Take a look at post #8 above and you can see that they are very different. I ordered one from Ebike24, in Dresden, Germany, with a probable delivery date of 2-3 weeks. Surprisingly, it shipped Friday evening and according to...

Bosch Gen 4 - How to change the chainring?

The O-ring sits in a recess in the chainring. I had to use a pick to get it out for the photo. It then went back without any argument and seemed to tighten up fine. Of course, I then discovered that my torque wrench had died (I think it might be out of guarantee - I bought it in 1976), so had to...

Bosch Gen 4 - How to change the chainring?

I guess I'd better send them an email. They show other types of chainring for splined fittings, so it's odd that the hexagon fitting is shown for the Bosch Gen 4. What concerns me most is the specification on their website says: "Compatible with e*thirteen quick connect direct mount drivetrain...

Bosch Gen 4 - How to change the chainring?

No! That is definitely not that the chainring for my Bosch 2020 Gen 4. As you had put the link up a couple of times, I thought I had better check properly so I removed the pedals and the spider nut and then eased back the O-ring. It is definitely a microspline fitting. (Sorry about the mess -...

PowerTube 625 failure - terrible Bosch service

Bosch replied to my query with that statement. A little bit strange because it only seems to be important on my 625Wh powertube. My missus has a 500Wh powertube which isn't affected by disconnection order.

Bosch Gen 4 - How to change the chainring?

That's not showing the same fitting as mine, which has a "microspline" type direct mount. The spec says: "Compatible with e*thirteen quick connect direct mount drivetrain systems" which doesn't seem to describe mine which looks more like this: Rather than this: See the problem?

Bosch Gen 4 - How to change the chainring?

The E13 spec shows the Bosch Gen 4 chainrings as aluminium only. The picture doesn't show the 8mm offset from axle to teeth, so I'll get in touch with them to see whether this is just "art work". I don't think aluminium will be sensible, but I've heard nothing back from FSA or Miranda, so it...

    Bosch CX4 Motor Cover

Bugger! Lost mine too. Anyone got a source for these? [Edit: Looks like Ebike24 has got them. Not sure about being in stock, though, because the delivery date is 3 weeks hence. But at 6€ - double with postage - I'll take a punt. Also asked my local Bosch dealer to order me one. They seem to be...
