Just wanted to provide an update on riding, battery life, and more general observations.
I put the battery to the test on 3 rides without charging.
Ride 1: 27 miles 2800 feet - used 27% battery, ended with 83% left (Eco/Trail) riding with analog buddy
Ride 2: 9.5 miles 1540 feet - used 26%...
The standard cable routing on request is the biggest deal. If you havent dealt with headset routing yet just trust the rest of us and order with routing through the frame and not the headset. That alone would steer me to the CEF50 vs the 930.
My dropper cable is getting pinched on a left turn and I have messed with the headset so many times to fix it. I will be getting the NukeProof headset and a wireless dropper for this bike. Only cable will be the Rear brake line. Done with stupid cables on this bike. Headset routing is garbage.
Rode on saturday with a buddy that I loaned my e10/m600 (ludicrious v2 controller, peak silent gear) with 36T chainring and 11-52 12 speed for the ride. The climb is a 3 mile - 1000 foot climb with several steep segments. In level 6/9 on the m600 he passed me on the first hill while I was in...
Looks awesome. What was your final weight with that bigger battery? Love the color. Bummer about the 36v, seems that happened to several other people as well. Great job on custom battery!
First ride review: 19 miles, 2800 vertical, 1 hour 45 minutes. (strava screwed up but I know the loop stats)
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread and put together ideas and went first and contributed knowledge. You all are amazing! I hope this review helps someone else down the...
I've got a small issue right now between 6-8 where it hangs a little bit in the shift but i didn't stop to address it. With the Axs app, you can adjust the setting for those gears. But yes, as far as chainline it works from 50 all the way to 9 no issues.
Well I am all finished with the build for a minute. Will upgrade headset soon as well as 160 carbon cranks and probably the rear triangle to UDH and then eventually SRAM GX transmission. Meet "Mountain Bluebell"
Bafang M820 From Trust-Bikes (SZ CEF50 frame).
36v with 720wh battery.
We are one...
but even the conventional hanger is 179mm so you would need a 180 or 178mm axle length?
I've built 2 dengfu e10 with m600 and a couple bbshd commuters so I am no stranger to DIY, its always just a bit frustrating though that you never really know what you are going to get until it gets there...
How are you using a 150mm? there is no way that reaches across and threads in?
@calvintys I believe its a 1.5 I dont know what that diagram is. This is the kind of thing that drives me crazy about dealing with China, nothing is ever correct, the initial diagram I got had a shock bushing at...
I've decided this rear axle is garbage. Nearly stripped out second time pulling it out...
I thought I read somewhere that the rear axle is a 12x179 in a 1.5 thread? I am only finding 12x180mm axles. Will that work or do i need to go down to 178?
Hey all, finally building my beast!
For sure going to order carbon cranks, and the Nukeproof headset. This stock headset is not good.
Unfortunately mine came with v2 screen so I need to replace it with v3.
720wh and I’ll get a full weight for you once I’ve got shock bushings. I have full...
I thought I read somewhere its 18% lighter and 20% more powerful. I want to see the firmware its running.
Also, just a FYI, I ordered some cheap chinese shock recommend in this thread for my E10 and of course the end of the shock was 18mm thick and did not fit into the wishbone... buyer beware...
@ornias Are you still looking for Javascript guys? happy to jump in and help where I can. I have besst tool, and 2 m600 motors.
I will be flashing to the
experimental 48v25a (38v lvc).bin
this weekend as its likely what I have been looking for. Any other user feedback with this firmware?
Wanted to chime in. I run the m09 frame (luna x1) in the USA. I put 1100 miles on my first ZTTO cassette and used eagle gx chain. Im on to my second ztto cassette on the ebike and im using the ztto chain (eagle knockoff) and so far very happy with it as well. I swear by the ZTTO cassettes...
Chiming in with my experience with the besst tool.
I own a Luna x1 which is previous generation of the dengfu frame and the m600.
We found out the hard way that the proprietary cranks (way too long) and the software on the m600 were both garbage.
Running in PAS levels 1-9 you were forced to go...
