    Canyon strive ON stem change

Hello Bjorn, yes you can use normal round spacers. I removed all the Canyon spacers and put the round spacers above the top cap with the rubber plugs in so that the round spacers sit on the rubber plugs, it works fine.

    2024 Strive:ON

Hello, I swapped my brakes to Hope E4s and didn't need to drop the motor. I pushed the new hose in while pulling the old hose out with one of these, it went in very easily.

How did the ride go? Did you try out any of the new modes? I haven't had chance yet.

I would definitely go with a medium. I'm 184cm and my large feels perfect. A lot of the reviews suggest sizing down when you're between sizes but I'm glad I didn't as I think a medium would've been too small.

It's in custom riding modes. Have you got the latest version of the app, 1.18.6 and updated your bike?

I agree with @Jona . Mine feels like the invisible man has slammed the brakes on when it reaches the limit but it's a big heavy bike with heavy wheels and sticky downhill tyres. I don't fully appreciate how much the motor is actually doing until it cuts out 😳

Did you size up or size down when you bought the bike? I'm 184cm and bought a Large which feels perfect with the 35mm stem, it would probably feel too long with a 50mm.

@Stephan-Qc I've got a Hope Gravity Stem 35/35mm on mine, which works well for me. I'll post a picture later today so you can see what it looks like.

They can't have done as there's no more left in the warehouse 😉

My latch had become very loose. I then tried the Tobias modification which helped, but I wasn't sure how much longer it would last. Canyon were quite helpful and sent out the updated latch under warranty.

    Strive:ON problems

My new latch arrived today. It took 7 days to get from Germany to West Yorkshire so I can't really complain about Canyon's customer service. It didn't come with any packaging or instructions, just the latch in a brown envelope.

@CrispyDesigns Did yours get shipped from Germany or the UK? Mine's on the way from Germany.

I also received those instructions from Canyon. When my new latch arrives I won't be taking my bike to a local service centre. I've already loctited and tightened the bolts on the top battery mount so I don't think there is any point.

Thanks Crispy. It looks like I should be receiving the updated latch. Looking at your packaging I can't believe the cheeky bastards are going to be charging people £19.99 to replace a part that was never fit for purpose.

    Strive:ON problems

@Tubby G , @CrispyDesigns I contacted Canyon's warranty team yesterday and they're sending me out a replacement latch to Yorkshire - LCK BOS FOR BATT BBP37YY AXIAL bk Could you please let me know if this is the Canyon Part Number you received? There was some confusion over whether I'd be...

    Strive:ON problems

Mine don't make that noise. Isn't that just the braided cable sheathing catching on the cable tray lid? Have you tried sliding the lid back a bit to see if that makes a difference?

    Strive:ON problems

There are two more bolts inside the connector that may need loctite and tightening. The connector / socket is easy to remove and inspect. The cable covers slide out out freely but be careful not to bend them as they're very thin. When reinstalling the connector and replacing the cable covers...

    Strive:ON problems

If you go back to post #140 @eddie89 explains how to do it. It's easy enough to do and worth trying.

    Strive:ON problems

Mine seems to be wedged fairly tightly with the Tobias fix but it doesn't make the same click as before when closing the latch. Have you checked the battery socket in the down tube at the opposite end? Mine was quite loose so I removed all the bolts, loc-tited and reinstalled, it's been fine...
