Great ride in the Cheviot Hills yesterday with @The EMF ( Wayne..pictured) ..on our border raid into Scotland .
Blue skies suggest dry& dusty ground conditions ..and they were almost bone dry ..but this also disguises the fact that it was very windy & clucking ffffreezing with a hail stone...
Why don't you just buy a road/ gravel bike instead ..I'm sure they come with some form of electric motor these days ..and you would save a ton of weight & possibly money ..(although having zero interest in road or gravel I'm not 100% sure about electric options ) 🤔
Great choice ..I've had my Whyte E160rs for about 3.5 years now one of the first released.. (27.5wheels..don't like 29ers ) ..and still love the thing to bits despite being on the 3rd Bosch motor...grrr
In near 30 years of mtb'ing I've never had a bell.. if I'm coming up behind a group I just shout " ding-a-ling -a-ling in good time which gets there attention ..with a smile & sorry I can't afford a bell as I'm passing which more often than not gets a smile back ..

I knew that comment would bring you Yorkies out of the woodwork 😂
When the earth was formed Yorkshire as beautiful as it is was made as a natural barrier for the southern tourist hordes to think " well it doesn't get much better than this " ..and stops them venturing further north to the real...
This is what was forecast for our late afternoon ride out of Old Bewick on the far Eastern side of the Cheviot Hills ..
..the reality was somewhat different with one of the heaviest downpours while driving there that I've ever encountered with visibility down to just about zero .
This in turn...
I'm on my 3rd Bosch motor ..the 1st was replaced slightly out of warranty ..the replacement went after a year and Bosch didn't want to know ( although my mate with the same fault & code with a slightly older motor got a significant discount from Bosch 60%..purchased at a different dealer ) ..my...
New Time MX 6 pedals ..to replace the old ones ...it became apparent that I really shouldn't have persevered with the old ones for as long as I did when clipping into the new ..
