I have the original SRAM carbon cranks that came on the Gen 2 S-Works, and the boots listed in the post I linked fit perfectly. I've had them on for about 18 months now with no issues.
My last post mentioned time would tell how these last. I'm now just past a year, so here's a quick update...
I've worn them probably around 100 times now since I purchased... and they're still in great condition. No tears or burst seams, and they've done a great job of protecting my fingers...
Maybe too late to the party... but I'm another Scot - living in Aberdeen.
I ride mainly forest trails, with lots of roots and rocks. Tarland, Glenlivet, Glen Tanar, Pitfichie etc. I did Heartbreak Ridge a few times this year too... although I'll probably avoid that for the winter.
My bike has...
My Bike Yoke adapters paired with the Magura matchmakers give me the perfect POD placement.
Something I could not get with the ‘infinity clamp’ that comes with the POD.
Ha ha… my reason is pretty much the same as yours anyway! My wife couldn’t give an arse if I wash the bike against the house, but I don’t want the mess to clean up 😂😂
This one is nothing to do with my wife I'm afraid...
My bike is usually caked in mud when I get home. I'm the one that cleans and looks after our driveway... so the last thing I want is to wash the excess mud off my bike onto it. Mud gets into the cracks of the lock blocks and takes a lot of...
I use this thing for the exact reason you're looking for:
£32, (was under £25 when I purchased in 2021!) keeps the bike steady whilst I wash it, raises the back wheel so I can clean the drivetrain, and pretty compact. I have an expensive Feedback Pro maintenance stand that I use the rest of...
Here's the inside of the tyre from my Stumpy 6-Fattie that I just kept pouring around 100ml of Stans into every 3 or 4 months! I always just popped the bead and poured it in. The bike didn't move for about 6 months - as I had it on a Kickr for winter. When I went to ride it again, the wheel...
Yesterday, I got a second Bike Yoke adapter in the post from Germany, which allows me to fit a SRAM AXS Pod to my Magura brakes matchmaker.
I now have a POD Rocker on the right for changing gear, and a POD Ultimate on the left for my AXS dropper. I have a LH POD Rocker adapter due in the next...
I've used all the AXS controllers, and I can assure you it's not like the paddle on the original AXS at all.
The original AXS controller (for me anyway) was fixed at an angle I did't like... whereas the POD rocker can be rotated.
Perhaps my new love for the POD Rocker is purely down to the...
I find that I don’t need to stretch so much for the buttons as I can position the rocker better… which takes some strain off my thumb.
I can also use my index finger to shift down through the gears.
It’s maybe not for everyone, but at £20 for the rocker conversion, it’s a relatively (in bike...

Review - SRAM AXS Pod Rocker Upgrade
Have you tried the POD Rocker for your POD? So far on my 3 rides, I’ve found it a game changer.
I was lying in a bush on Saturday after an off!
My problem wasn't going too fast - the exact opposite.
A new trail that someone pointed me to. Take it easy the first time so you know what to expect, then go back for a second shot, but at a better pace.
My first run was just a bit TOO slow...
You can make the camera take 12 megapixel photos instead of the default 24 megapixels in the settings… but I’d rather have good quality photos for things that I might want to zoom / crop.
2500 horizontal for me every time.
I’m sure there must be apps or utilities specifically for resizing… but the shortcut does me fine purely for forum uploads.
Another trick is to email yourself the pics, and you can choose if you want them to be high, medium, low quality.
Here’s my mini review… some of this is a repeat of my post above prior to receiving it.
I’ve had AXS shifting since January 2020… so almost 5 years. In that time, I’ve never fully embraced the shifters. I love the simple button press rather than having to push an old school shifter in, love the...
I used to find on my previous phone that it dulled them down a little. Nothing wild, but it definitely made it duller. I could fix it with a little tweaking if I wanted though - and generally the photos were going on a forum, so no big deal.
I’m now on an iPhone 16 Pro… and it doesn’t seem to...
Don't quote me on this, but I think it's down to the file size of the photos I think the forum has some sort of upper size limit for photos, and if they get above about 5mb(?), they display as a link. I noticed it a while back, and started resizing my photos to reduce their file size.
I...
