Bafang BBS02 cuts off when battery power reaches about 70%

Bare with me @Seraye. I'll get back to you shortly. Just need to cross-reference a couple of things👍🏿

Where to source components for DIY build?

Gottya. The good news is that plug-n-play controllers have come along way since Mikah made his video. Do you have the frame already or is that something you're looking to source? As for components you'll need, I can provide links to sources (UK based) for your consideration. I'll do my...

    Bafang M500 and M600 motors

Just a quick question, https://bafang-e.com/en/oem-area/components/component/hmi/dp-c230231can/ Has anyone tried this display? If not, no worries as I've ordered one as I'm sick and tired of using the Shimano Rip-off display without running a 35mm bar and stem combo.

Where to source components for DIY build?

What kind of emtb/ebike are you looking to build? In addition, what's your budget (be realistic!!!). PM if you'd want to discuss things privately @Cavemann 👍🏿

Bafang BBS02 cuts off when battery power reaches about 70%

Hi @Seraye, I understand that you are running a BBS02 (UART protocol). This is made obvious due to you using the Eggrider v2 display. Whilst I appreciate that you've been descriptive in your post, could you kindly post a screenshot of your parameters of your levels of assist for consideration...

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

So following from my earlier posts about the characteristics of the motor when programmed, I'm still tinkering with the motor tune in terms of balancing power and efficiency in conjunction with how I want this bike to ride. Whilst I have so far been able to dial in the keep current and stop...

Apologies for the delay @magazene and thanks for your kind words. In answer to your question, I ordered helicopter tape (2000mm x 200mm) in Matte. This was enough to cover the entire top tube, down tube, left upper chainstay, left lower chainstay, right upper chainstay, the bridge which...

Other controller for DPC241 Bafang m500

Just had a look myself @Puschtrale. https://hollandbikeshop.com/en-gb/bicycle-parts-electric-bicycle/bafang-e-bike-parts/bafang-displays-and-parts/bafang-display/bafang-dp-c11-e-bike-display-victoria-e-classic-black-624868/ Is this something you're after? Alternatively, I'm in talks with GBK...

Its difficult to say at this stage. Granted, I can see why Bafang decided to implement CANBud protocols instead of UART. My experience with the M500/M600 has been somewhat different compared to my experiences with the M400/M620. Its early days for the M510. But further testing is required...

True that @Mabman. However, functions within the BMS may vary (Cell Balancing, Temperature guage etc). Dont get me wrong, these type of BMS (potential) variations exist in all sorts of battery packs (Shark packs, Tiger packs, Dolphin packs, Reention packs etc).

Interesting!!! So my suspicions might be true. Although the packs are similar, the BMS's do vary. @Mabman, great minds think alike. I've just managed to wrangle a 52v battery for testing 👍🏿.

@Mabman, could you kindly weight each battery please? I'm curious as to the difference between the 720wh (48v 15amp), 840wh (48v 17.5amp) & 780wh (52v 15amp) 👍🏿 In addition, when testing each battery, be sure to adjust the low voltage cutoff point for the 52v battery. The last thing you want...

I wont lie to you @Thediesel233, I have spotted discrepancies with the geometry given by Dengfu, Watt Wagon & Luna. I'm not sure how they measure certain proportions of the bike. However, my app on my phone (which has proven to be accurate), has yielded a 75.5° seat tube angle when a 170mm...

Well, we got the bike dirty. And I wasn't timid with the thing. I can't stress the importance of frame protection people Everything still works and no issues detected. So we move onto phase 2.

Sincere apologies for the delay @Tomteam. I'll be honest with you, any publications concerning Bafang are somewhat 'subjective' or 'speculative'. I did check online to see whether any further materials have been added but all signs lead to no. Granted the only reason why I'm familiar (and...

Good work @Mabman 👍🏿. And I'm reminded that your fairly new to programming the motor. And you've already got the hang of it. @Tomteam, my intention is to put a video out explaining the programming parameters of the M620 on each of my bikes and explaining (in my opinion), the differences...

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

Hi @Chrisnow, You've asked a good question. My intention will be to answer this question in due course. I have stipulated before that by running a bigger battery, the system weight of the ebike does increase. However, I am reminded that not all batteries are made and built the same (or equally...

Not to deviate away from the from the thread's true goal but,,, Just look how far the far east have come to bring emtb's with decent geometry, revised suspension platforms & aesthetically more pleasing. I remember building the Lancer back in mid 2018. And now. Well, you can see for...
